A picture is worth a thousand words. But imagine my horror when that big sucker crawled all over my possessions. It gives me no joy to give a place a bad review, but the room they gave me just never felt right. Ants crawling the floor. The fan up top has a layer of dust. It’s as if they haven’t cleaned it in a donkey’s year. I hightailed out of there in a heartbeat. If you’re traveling on a tight budget or just want to save money because you figure you’ll be spending most of your time out of the room, then it’s still worth a look. Maybe I just got unlucky.

Brilliant value for money. Nice spacious room with a view and a comfortable bed. Simple breakfast from the street stall included, it was delicious. There's a water fountain downstairs so you don't have to use plastic bottles all the time. Unexpected bonus was a projector, so I could watch Netflix during the rain storm. This hotel was beyond my expectations in many ways! However, it's still a basic hotel in an old building in a tight alleyway. The ******* on the street were sometimes a bit pushy, reaching out and grabbing me every time I walked past which was annoying.

It is a lovely place. Simple, imperfect but in a good way. First day you are not that sure. But if you stay for another night... you fall in love with reasonably slow life around during day time... only to pace up as dusk sets in! The famous Bui Vien Street is just a few minutes away ... where smokes and mirrors of the roaring night life play itself up... until everyone is satiated for the night! This is a genuinely backpackers' place... so don't expect any luxury! But the basics are very well taken care of. Sometimes you need to ask to get things to be satisfactory... when you ask you may have to have patience to use Google translate to explain things... but then things are taken care of. Sometimes breakfast is pleasantly superb... but sometimes it is much less than that! But you do get a very good deal overall... so one understands! Haha! And the whole street where the hotel is only narrow in width but life is abundant around! If you are not in hurry... and if you are not too perturbed about apparent imperfections ... you will appreciate it! Like I did! I will come back again... not because it was perfect... but because it was genuinely imperfect in a way that makes you love it more!

I stayed in a room with the projector, was nice to have a movie theater screen in my room, and location is right by a major park and shopping center
