We were four perons (two couples) who stayed one night on our return journey to Norway after a three days visit in Denmark. We needed a place to stay for one night with reasonable distance to the ferry terminals in the northern part of Denmark. We found the hotel on internet and booked it there. The hotel is small, charming and located in a small village called Hjallerup, named after a horse market which took place there in the past. We were served a beautiful three course dinner in a nicely decorated dining room after arrival, and a sumptous breakfast the following morning. Be aware that dinner is served at fixed time, i. e 6:00 PM. The room was spacious with plenty of space for suitcases with the necessary toilet articles. It was a quiet place with no disturbing noises from outside. Free parking outside and a lovely bakery opposite the street where the hotel is situated. Definitely a place to recommend for persons who are looking for a nice place at a reasonable price, not to far from the northern ferry terminal in the northern part of Denmark (Hirtshals and Frederikshavn), and without all the tourists which are found at the popular places on the western part of the Jutlandia. Should there be an opportunity to come back if a situation like this comes up, we shall definitely choose Hjallerup Kro. Henry J. Grindheim, Asker, Norway
