Hotel New Hakuaki

The food and hot springs were both very good. All the employees were also very nice people. Dinner time was a little late, but I was grateful that they accommodated me properly.

Very delicious dinner

The location and the food were both great. The hot spring water was thick and delicious. The times were set so that guests and visitors did not overlap, and there were amenities, tea, and coffee available exclusively for guests, which I thought was very considerate. It seems that the fireworks sold there can also be set off on the premises. Sounds fun!

I stayed here with my family. The hotel is a little way back down a narrow road. The facilities are typical of a Showa era hotel, but they overcome that with ingenuity. The food is delicious. Dinner is a hearty Japanese meal, mainly local seafood. Breakfast is a buffet, and the impression was that they used local ingredients and did not cut corners at all. Other services include a shampoo buffet and the ability to grind coffee beans from Saza Coffee in your room and make your own coffee. The only complaint I have is that the Wi-Fi was unstable (and there was no password). I didn't mind it, but the curtains were a little torn and the aging of the facilities may be a concern for some people.

Staying in a spacious Japanese-Western style room made me feel luxurious. For the meal, I chose the seasonal monkfish hotpot, and enjoyed the rice porridge at the end. The amount was too much for the two elderly couples to eat, but it was delicious. After taking a bath in the morning, I visited Sakatsura Isosaki Shrine in the neighborhood, and then I saw the sunrise at Isozaki Lighthouse. it was beautiful. There is also a service to grind and brew coffee beans yourself, and I enjoyed the aroma of coffee for the first time in a while.
