Treetop Spa Hangout & Hotel

The atmosphere is warm and familiar, as it is a family-owned hotel with staff who make you feel truly welcome. It’s not about luxury, but comfort—and they do it perfectly. A great place to unwind and enjoy a peaceful getaway!

Rented the upper spa section with some friends, and we had a magical day and evening! The location is absolutely fantastic, and the spa/sauna areas are excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, truly contributing to making our stay memorable. From check-in to check-out, the service was top-notch. Will definitely book again!

A magical place among the treetops with spa, pools, saunas and a nice bar. The staff is super efficent, warm & friendly and professional. The restaurant and rooms are absolute top notch! All in all, it's a hidden gem that I can highly recommend if you want something exotic and memorable that still has the best possible standard. 👍👍👍👍👍

This place was disgusting and dirty. When we arrived there was no reception just a phone number that directed you to a key safe. The person on the phone was rude and laughing at us as we couldn’t find the accommodation and clapped when we did! No offer of assistance although they must have been able to view us struggling. When we eventually found the accommodation there was a musty smell, stains on the carpets it was horrible and we couldn’t stay there. Rang the number again to try and complain they were not interested and said “you still need to pay” when we told them we were leaving. We then bumped into 3 males with wine and glasses and asked them if they were the owners one of them replied, “ no but I work for him” we tried to explain our dissatisfaction but they were totally disinterested and walked away laughing. I told them that I was complaining to Ticketmaster to which he laughed and said “they love us and use us all the time” The whole complex looked like it had been built in the 1960’s and not touched since. There was old broken objects everywhere outside and it was generally unkempt. I cannot understand how Trip Advisor has awarded 3 .5 stars for this disgusting accommodation. We had to book alternative accommodation. This spoilt our first trip to Sweden where we booked to attend Bruce Springsteen concert. Sweden is beautiful and we enjoyed our trip to Gothenburg but the Tree Tops Hangout and Spa is definitely not to be recommended!

Treetop is a hidden gem, right outside central Gothenburg. The surroundings are stunning and way that the buildings seemingly climb up the mountain side, gives the compound an almost exotic feel. I have never seen anything even similar to this, and it was a truly unique experience. Me and my boyfriend had initially booked The View, but the owner called us a few hours before our stay and recommended changing to The Glade, as this was more intimate. And we are so happy that we did. We got a tour of The View as well and it’s absolutely breathtaking, but felt like a better fit for slightly larger groups (maybe 4 or more people). As a couple, The Glade was intimate, completely private and absolutely perfect. The entire spa was incredibly well kept and clean. The staff was super friendly and service minded. They never hesitated to get us food and drinks, even though this meant many trips up and down the stairs for them. They also very quickly picked up on our preferences and came with personalized recommendations that they thought we might appreciate. All while making sure to give us the privacy that is the entire purpose of Treetop. The Glade was tucked into the cliffside, hidden amongst the trees to give us complete privacy. The fire was crackling from the wood-burning jacuzzi and the birds were serenading us as we enjoyed the fruit and charcuterie platters, we had ordered in advance. After soaking in the warm water, we enjoyed the heat from the sauna with a view overlooking beautiful Gothenburg. The bucket with cold water was an unexpected and well-appreciated treat after all the heat, as well as a source of laughter and funny pictures. The whole stay truly felt like the ultimate luxury. If you have the opportunity to visit Treetop, we genuinely recommend it. It’s such a unique location and experience. We found out that they are expanding and are already curious to see what else they will come up with, so we will definitely try to visit again.
