I had always wanted to stay at FAV HOTEL, and since I happened to be planning a trip to Hiroshima, I decided to stay there! My husband, my 11-month-old daughter and I stayed there together, and we were very satisfied with the tatami room! It was a futon, so there was no need to worry about my daughter falling out, and it was spacious and had excellent light blocking properties. All three of us slept soundly until morning. Check-in was semi-automatic and done using a touch panel screen, but there was also an attendant at the front desk, so it went smoothly. Check-out was just a matter of putting the paper in a box. It was very easy. I was staying without meals, but I bought breakfast at a nearby bakery and heated it up in the microwave in the room, so I was able to have a warm breakfast. It was a day when the Carp game was held, so all the paid parking lots were expensive, but the hotel staff were considerate and allowed us to park for a few hours after check-out, which was very helpful. I would definitely like to use it again.

Convenient.. just next to JR station. Walkable distance, within 3 mins. Perfect location if you are bringing a huge suitcase with you. Staff can speak English, don’t have to worry about communicating. Food are great too in the hotel, and many good restaurants at the JR station. Overall is clean, just the hotel maybe some ages.

Very efficient check in and check out. I had to add another day and they gave me a discount. The amenities are very cool especially the room spray and the bathroom amenities. Room is big enough especially for Japanese standard. 24 hours gym available within the building with very good training machines and weights. Very close to the bus station and many stores and restaurants. Very friendly staff as well.

Title: Spacious Rooms and Convenient Location in Hiroshima Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars Review: Our stay at the Rihga Royal Hotel Hiroshima was quite enjoyable. The standout feature was definitely the room size - it was surprisingly spacious, especially compared to many other hotels we've experienced in Japan. This extra space made our stay much more comfortable and relaxing. The hotel's location is another big plus. It's conveniently situated, making it easy to access many of Hiroshima’s-attractions. We found it to be a great base for exploring the city, with good transportation and tourist bus links from Hiroshima station nearby. The staff were polite and helpful, which added to the pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities met our expectations for a hotel of this caliber. One area where there's room for improvement is the breakfast options. While adequate, we felt the variety could be expanded, especially for guests with dietary restrictions. A wider range of choices would have been appreciated. Despite this minor drawback, we had a very positive experience overall. The combination of the exceptionally spacious rooms and the convenient location made our stay in Hiroshima both comfortable and efficient. We would recommend the Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto to other travelers, particularly those who value room space and a good location.
RED HELMET House&Sports Bar Hiroshima
4.2/540 Reviews
I spent a night here while backpacking around Japan with a JR Rail Pass. The place was easy to find with my phone guiding me. Maybe a little far from Hiroshima station to roll a suitcase with wheels over noisy road surfaces at night, but not bad for those travelling lightly. It's also not far from the local sports stadium. First floor of this hostel is a sports bar/restaurant. The hostel entrance is off to the left side of the building front. One of the staff from the bar will come to a window to get you checked in. Once checked in you will have in/out privileges with a passcode. The second floor is a living room type common area. There are couches, desks, manga to read, a guitar to play with and sightseeing info available here. Also stairs leading down to the sports bar and you can hear the patrons down there clearly. Once the bar closes for the night, this common room is also closed to hostel guests. The rest of the floors are sleeping and restroom areas. Unlike a typical capsule hotel this one looks handmade with wooden capsule and ladders. It was actually more comfortable than other capsules I stayed in on this trip. The futon mattress felt fluffier than normal. There was a privacy curtain but there was no way to seal and lock it as in many other capsule hotels. The price was extremely reasonable and I will probably stay here again on a future trip to Hiroshima.
Santiago Guesthouse Hiroshima

Situated only a couple of minutes walk from Hondori shopping street and about 10 minutes walk, depending on if you’re a snail pace walker or someone who walks as fast as an angry mother who’s about to complain to the school board about something, from the Peace Memorial Park lies Santiago Guest House. A hostel that is a bit of a pain to find with it only being sign posted by those hanging signs attached to high rise buildings that are literally everywhere in Japan. With said buildings hosting separate businesses on each floor, it may stress you out finding it but upon entry the stress will go bye bye from its general aesthetically pleasing outlook. A modern and polished looked hostel who’s reception lies right next the common room and kitchen area, giving everyone in there a look at the fresh meat coming in. The common area and reception give a friendly vibe out from the on set with bean bags, couches, two TVs (one with a PlayStation 3) and shelves holding games and cuddly toys for you to spoon like they’re your partner whilst watching a rom com on Netflix. Generally the 6th floor where there is one dorm room and the kitchen and common area is quality. The kitchen is a little small in size but it does the job plus you’re in Japan where bento boxes are a way of life. Plus you can always just jaunt to the local supermarket- Yours- between 8:15 – 8:40pm where the bento boxes, salad and sushi goes half price, which the foreign helpers for free accommodation do pretty much every night. The WiFi is pretty solid as well. Follow link in bio to losertravels website so read full review and more!
