I’ve been coming to this hotel for years and always considered it one of my favorite places to stay. The atmosphere, location, and overall vibe used to make it feel like a home away from home. Unfortunately, my recent stay left me extremely disappointed. While the rooms are still clean, spacious, and well-maintained, the service has taken a sharp nosedive. The staff seemed disinterested, untrained, and in some cases, downright unfriendly. There was a clear lack of professionalism and hospitality — something I never would have said in the past. It honestly felt like no one wanted to be there, and it showed in every interaction. The bar service was especially poor. I had to wait a long time to even get noticed, and when I finally did, the bartender seemed confused and struggled to understand basic drink orders. She barely spoke English, and instead of asking for clarification, she just looked annoyed. It was awkward and uncomfortable. We were there during the golf tournament and in years past have always had family come meet us in the lobby. This year there was a woman who stood out front and would not let anyone in even though we said our guests were visiting us like they did every year. The woman was not friendly and just said no they could not come in. This was very disappointing, especially when you pay what we paid. I’m not sure what’s changed behind the scenes, but it’s clear that something has. Management really needs to step in and bring the standard back up before they lose more loyal guests. Sadly, I won’t be returning unless I hear things have improved.
