Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island

I feel they treated us badly. I booked the trip with ******* on my Discover card. When I got to the Hilton I hadn’t brought my Discover card to put on hold so I gave them my Citicard. They charged me over $1,879 saying they never received payment from *******. After 3 days of refusing to refund my money they only gave me a partial refund. We also had a problem with housekeeping. They didn’t clean the room a few times, they didn’t even give us clean towels. Also when I told them the top bed covers were terribly stained they said it was because when they get washed the stuffing clumps. David Wilkins, the property manager promised us a $350 credit due to this which we never received, I realize they took over the resort from Marriott a few weeks early but they used this as an excuse for every thing.

Went here for my husbands birthday. Front desk staff and coffee staff were very courteous and kind. They charged almost $500 for one night and it had old decor and a poor paint job. The drywall on the ceiling was bending. The sheets were wrinkled in the bed. It was clean but smelled of bleach and maybe too sterile, not very cozy. The walls were thin and they vacuumed at night. It was close to a cool restaurant and tennis courts and amenities. It almost seems as if this is a failing hotel. I would rather stay at the Westin next time. The highlight was the cafe nearby he pool and an early beach walk the next morning. Glad we only stayed one night.

We enjoyed our stay. I wish they would pay a little more attention to detail when they are cleaning the rooms.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel, was to take advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub. They were not available until the last day before we left, and the pool was too cold to use.

Overall was a great stay. Only complaints is that the walls are paper thin so I can hear the residents next door TV. Also the plumbing wasn't the best, if someone next door flushed the toilet, my shower ran cold.

This was literally the worst hotel stay I have had in my life. First, our door DIDNT LOCK. They came to check on it (after waiting for 45 minutes) and couldn’t fix it, so we had to sleep with the little door stopper and that was all. Secondly, the hot water wasn’t working. Now, I would think a hotel I paid over $200 a night for would have basic amenities like hot water and locking doors, but apparently not here. Third, it’s February and they decided to shut down the indoor pool for renovation. This seems counterproductive when it’s cold outside and guests can’t use the outdoor pool when it’s 50-65 degrees. I had two small children who were very disappointed. Lastly, I called room service 15-ish times with no answer and eventually sent my husband down to order food. I got 9 shrimp and 5 soup dumplings for a whopping $40. Such a great deal. At checkout when I told them all of this, they gave me a $50 discount. That is absolutely ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to even pay for the stay when I didn’t even receive basic services like a functioning room with a locking door and hot water. Highly recommend this hotel is you want have a terrible experience and virtually no customer service.

No hot water for 2 days. Had to change rooms. No coffee service. Rooms were run down.

Given the name and the type of property it needs a little TLC. Not bad but this was once a jewel. Return it to its former glory.
