We wanted to go on a short hiking trip before the end of the year, without paying too much for a place to stay. So we found this cute pension close to Winterberg. We were welcomed by a very friendly owner, and then brought to our room. Which was very pink, alsmost Barbie-like. But at the same time, it looked cozy. It was more than large enough for the two of us. And the bed was fine. Maybe a bit on the soft side, but well enough. The next morning, walking down to the breakfast hall, the owner greeted us, asking whether we’ve slept well. A nice personal touch. Then we’ve had an extensive breakfast that offered a broad choice of bread and other condiments. There were even some homemade cake and cookies. At a small place like this, I didn’t expect a breakfast at this size. It was really good. In summary, we were very happy with our stay. It was not expensive, the room was okay, breakfast was fantastic, and the owner was friendly. I can absolutely recommend the place.
