Haritha Villas & Spa

This was one of my best trips ever, First i was shocked about how Sri Lanka is a very very veeeery beautiful country and the locals are really friendly and respectful and always welling to help, Being in Haritha villas gave Sri Lanka extra points for how beautiful is the greenery nature and how they take care of their sources, Hospitality was beyond expectations, “Nishantha” was our butler and this guy was the star of our trip, he never say i cant or no for any request because he was always doing his best to provide it, he even surprised my friend with a birthday cake to our villa at night when we didn’t expect it and she was really happy, i appreciate his efforts, Nishantha introduced us to Sri Lanka’s Food which i was scared that i wouldn’t like it , but believe me we kept ordering this food for the whole trip, the whole staff of Haritha were friendly and they approach us and introduced them self and making sure that we are enjoying, The main thing i could say a Female is that everyone was respecting our space, from managers to Gardners, If i keep writing i would never stop , If anyone is visit Sri Lanka soon and Nishantha is the butler then YOU ARE LUCKY !!!

Where to start in reviewing our wonderful stay at Haritha Villas & Spa? Having traveled quite a bit over the years, both with and without children, it is safe to say Haritha just may be the best experience we have had with a hotel up to this point. We cannot recommend a stay here enough. The food was delicious, the staff, exceptional, and the rooms were extremely comfortable, clean, and well designed. We had the good fortune to stay in each of the colonial mansions at both ends of our first trip to Sri Lanka. No doubt, the key to our incredible experience at Haritha was having Mr. Nilanka as our personal butler for both of our stays. It is fair to say that Nilanka's care, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail made our stay an extraordinary experience. His incredible ability to anticipate our needs was such a gift, especially whilst traveling with children. The floating breakfasts he created during our stays along with the gifts he spoiled our children with in addition to the perfect staging for a 50th birthday surprise dinner for my husband; being in Nilanka's charge felt like being cared for by a loving family member and saying, "goodbye" at the end of our trip felt like leaving a piece of our heart as we departed. If you ever have the lucky chance to visit Sri Lanka please do yourself a favour and book at least a night or two at Haritha (if not more.) You will not regret it! We are already plotting returning ourselves. From the bottom of our hearts, and until we see you again, thank you Haritha Villas & Spa!

We just returned from our 8 nights stay in Haritha Villas & Spa and it was heaven. The perfect place to disconnect and unwind. Everything was so effortless and well taken care of, especially by our villa manager Lasantha, so that we could completely relax. We were staying in one of the contempory villas and the design and interior made us instantly feel at home, especially as the layout was generous and intuitive. We enjoyed the yoga sessions every morning (both teachers were great) and the spa treatments (I did Panchakarma) were very professional (shout-out to Maura). All in all, I felt in good hands throughout the whole stay. The concept of having your meal whenever you want was wonderful - breakfast at 12h ;-) I will miss those wonderful meals always cooked to perfection. We will definitely return.

This hotel adds nothing to one’s experience of Sri Lanka. In fact, there is precious little Sri Lankan about it. The designer apparently wanted to give the place a Balinese/Indonesian feel and I’d ask…why? The rooms are cramped and studio-like (despite the price) and ours had dirty outside furniture covers that all needed replacing. Service levels are very mixed, hot food was often cold, and orders often arrived incorrectly and in the wrong order. Unlike every other hotel we have stayed in here in Sri Lanka this is one for us to forget, and for others, I’d argue, to avoid.

The Haritha is more than just a resort – it is a peaceful oasis where exceptional service and a unique concept create an unforgettable getaway. Our four-night stay exceeded all expectations. From the very first moment, we felt truly welcomed. Our personal butler, Nishantha, was always there to fulfill every wish – attentive yet never intrusive. General Manager Axel ran the resort with evident passion, and his dedicated team – from the gatekeeper to the gardeners – radiated warmth and hospitality. Our Contemporary Villa, nestled in lush tropical greenery, was simply breathtaking. Each morning started in the most relaxed way with a delicious breakfast at our preferred time – a small but thoughtful detail that made the experience even more special. The food throughout our stay was consistently excellent. Another highlight was the complimentary shuttle to the beach, available at any time and taking just about five minutes. But returning to this jungle oasis was just as wonderful – a place where we instantly felt at peace. Final Verdict: If you have the opportunity to visit Haritha, don’t hesitate. Here, you’ll find true relaxation, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that will stay with you long after you leave.

It was truly an amazing experience- we had a wonderful Ayurvedic week in the middle of a jungle paradise with the most amazing service, amenities, food, yoga sessions and spa treatments. Especially our Villa master Ni Lanka made our stay beyond comparison! He took care of everything and always anticipated any of our wishes. We returned back home with a memorable week of experiences and complete „ rejuvenation“. Thank you to NiLanka and the entire Haritha villas team… we will definitely come back. Sarinah Blohm
