I think it's one of the top ryokans in Japan. Everything was top notch: warm and kind service, delicious dinner and breakfast, variety of indoor and outdoor baths and, of course, amazing traditional style building, perfectly decorated and great for exploration. Here my dream came true!

The hotel is very unique and has a 170-year history!
On the day of check-in, the hotel was very considerate and sent red bean rice cake soup. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a private bath so we could soak in the hot spring anytime. Both breakfast and dinner are very special. Dinner is Kaiseki cuisine with delicious Hida beef. Every dish is very delicious. The boss also came to take pictures for us and printed them out for me the next day!
