Really didn’t live up to our expectations. Food was terrible. The room was poor, scruffy not properly cleaned and so noisy that we couldn’t sleep. They advertise a 10pm curfew but the staff in the bar were playing loud music till late at night. Our room was adjoining the bar so we got little sleep. Food was awful. I’m not sure if the people we interacted with were staff or the owners. They just didn't seem to care or understand basic service. Our check in consisted of “name” then “follow me” “there’s a light switch somewhere” We ate in the bar. Once the food was plonked on the table no one checked if it was ok. (It wasn’t). When we asked to check out the staff just remained sat at their seats and told us to “just leave the key there” This place has so much potential but from our experience I doubt it will survive with the current management.

Stopped in at The Boe Rigg for an overnight stay in the Motorhome. Nice site with everything needed. 6 motorhome hardstanding plots, looks like a nicely kept field for tents and offers accommodation above the resteraunt and bar. Facilities are clean and very functional, some minor improvements needed in bathroom area (door locks and partitions for showers and toilet cubicles more secure. Chemical toilet disposal on site. A Big positive for this site is the lovely staff in the bar and the excellent kitchen staff who provided meals expected from celebratory kitchen. Thank you for a fantastic meal and evening.

I was up there for a working away, Nice and quiet place to stay rigth in the countryside with a stunning view. The food was excellent, and they are not shy with the Portions there give you. I would recommend breakfast and staying there for your hardcore campers. The was bar was on point too, with a nice Selection of gin and whiskey

The apartment is huge! We've come for an Easter break to visit family to catch the end of lambing season also. We arrived early and was able to check in early, walked into our room and was shocked at all the space we had. Comfy beds and found it very clean also, the surrounding area is nice and peaceful, it wasn't to busy either a good amount of other guests. Location is good as we was visiting Wark which isn't to far away, I'd reccomend the Chinese in the bellingham or the pub downstairs at boe Rigg. Small thing but they accommodated for my sons gluten allergy which was a huge help! Leave tomorrow my kids are sad to leave will return next March

A friend recommended a visit to a gallery & gift shop which had not long been open. Known as the Bellwether and situated in the Boe Rigg campsite, on the Kielder Forrest road a little outside the pretty village of Bellingham. An unusual place for it but well worth a visit. Beautifully laid out, it sells a wide variety of art, glass, ceramics, local produce and gifts all made by local artisans. Something for everyone and prices to suit any pocket. A real find and well worth visiting if you are in the area.

The room we had was huge, we had the triple room with private bathroom in the main house. It had a kitchenette, sofa, TV, double bed and 2 singles, and there was still a lot of space to move around. The land had sheep, cows and chickens (which woke you up in the morning and also greeted you at the door). It felt like you were in the proper countryside! The location was great, really close to Kielder, and a small town nearby (Bellingham) where there was a small Coop in case you needed anything (although very expensive!) Our shower door broke while we were there but the managers looked at it that day and it was fixed by the time we got back. Dogs being allowed was a big thing for us and there was definitely enough space for her (although she's small). The only thing is that the windows could open out really wide so just the worry of her/a child jumping out. The bed was very large although a bit too springy for us. And the shower was very temperamental.

Looking for somewhere near to Keilder observatory to stay overnight. Booked us in on a Wednesday night by mistake as they usually close on a Wednesday. Not a problem. The owners kindly opened the kitchen to cook us dinner after we’d visited the observatory. Fabulous food. Both tried the Boe burger as recommended by other reviews. Didn’t disappoint. Lovely cooked breakfast next morning. Would definitely book to stay again. Nice room and nothing too much trouble.
