Everything was good. Personal too. I suggest this hotel to everyone.

The best: -Very clean and quiet rooms. -Very fluffy bathrobes, and one spa towel and spa undertowel. -Enough parking lots. -All thermal and treatment places are very close to each other and totally barrier-free. -Helpful, patient and nice staff - all of them, from the receptionists to the first-aid paramedics to the housekeeping ladies. -Spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, table and chairs in the balcony are a plus. --Fresh, well-cooked, savoury, mostly Hungarian food, not too much variety but everything was very tasty and easy to digest (a plus for ailing guests). We enjoyed especially the goulash, the fish stews, the "bivaly" (oxen) slices, the beefsteak tartar, and the hot Hungarian desserts (the hot curd cheese pastry with berry sauce was wonderful, for instance!). -The outdoor heated pool with jacuzzi and bubbly "hotspots" is fantastic and big enough to accommodate a few dozen guests at a time. -Pets are welcome, a big plus for many elderly patients who can't bear to be separated from them. Can be improved: -Zero bottled water in the room (c'mon, this is an intensive thermal treatment facility, and constant hydration is a MUST!), although there are two drinking water fountains in the basement/spa area, and one drinking water spigot inside the breakfast and dinner restaurant. -EVERY drink at lunch and dinner (except tap water) must be paid extra - and it´s *expensive*: I mean, 4 Euros for a 1 liter water bottle? A hint: there´s a tiny tobacco shop just opposite the hotel where you can buy water, sodas, beer, and alcoholic beverages for a fraction of the price they are asking at the hotel. -No lunch is included, only breakfast and dinner. The only place you can have a narrow selection of hot sandwiches and simple dishes is the bar on the reception floor. Again, no free water or any kind of drinks. -No coffee/tea with the dinner buffet offered - again, this is a half-medical spa where most guests would really appreciate some kind of digestive tea/chamomile/herbal infusion after dinner. -No bedroom slippers unless you are staying in a "superior category" room. -The indoor swimming pool is very useful, but 28ºC water temperature (at least, that was the advertised themp) is a bit too chilly for wintertime. Overall, 4.5 out of 5 points, we were very satisfied, and we will certainly return!

Booked a 5 night stay at this hotel. Arriving by car, the parking lot was quite full and no handicapped spaces were available (we made it work). We had 2 rooms on the 7th floor overlooking the main street.. to bad we did not have the other side to try to get a glimpse of Lake Heviz. Check-in was painful.. for whatever reason the clerk could not give us an extra room key for the person that was staying alone.. not sure if this was a language barrier or they just did not know how to activate another card? We arrived on a Wednesday, the indoor and outdoor pool spaces were full of guests. They have very limited spaces/things to do for children so I would not book here if you have small kids. The clientele is older and everyone for the most part was just relaxing and staying quiet. We had no complaints about breakfast or dinner as the selection of food met our needs. Walking to town and Lake Heviz is about 10 min from the hotel. Cleaning staff were very attentive. Checkout .. extremely painful.. never experienced anything like it... we wanted to split the room costs/taxes between the 2 of us and the woman at the counter just could not make it work... Also first property where handicapped parking was not complimentary... regular price 7.5 euro per night, we paid 3.5 euro per night. Overall a pleasant stay, and yes while the hotel is dated, there is something about it that is also charming.

We have been here several times, most recently from 4 to 11 February 2023. We have to state that the level of the hotel is getting worse year after year and this time we were already so disappointed with our stay that we will not come here again unless there is a radical improvement in all directions. It starts with the management of the hotel, which is either incompetent or not professionally up to par. Otherwise, the director could not order not to publish the menu for lunch and dinner for guests who have half or full board!? The hotel has seven floors and has 3 elevators. One of them is not working for the second year, so when the hotel is more occupied, you wait for long minutes for the elevator. The hotel bar has slouchy armchairs and shabby upholstery. The furniture is past its best years and needs to be replaced. You don't get warm in the bar - it's cold there, so we don't recommend it. The hotel is equipped with a swimming pool, a hot tub, thermal pools with healing water, an outdoor experience pool and a sauna world. Although the facilities are great, there are issues such as the automatic doors not working, the outdoor sauna is limited to 3 days a week, the sauna lacks thermometers, multiple sauna timers, and the "sauna" in the indoor sauna is in a bathing suit!? :-( The four-star hotel offers lunches and dinners without tablecloths on the table with only plastic placemats and gives cloth napkins. The quality and range of food was at a really low level this year. You can feel the great savings on the quality of the raw materials. A plus is the offer of a non-alcoholic drink included in the price. In general, the hotel would need better management and complete repair and renovation of non-functioning equipment.
