Last minute booking for a flight the next morning out of FFM. Convenient location 20 minutes away. Their attempt at a quirky boutique hotel ended up being just weird. Definitely NOT a Schloss!! A bit run down and tired. Strange decor choices. Odd room and bathroom layouts. The pluses; comfortable beds and an enthusiastic, friendly staff. Got in too late for a meal but suspect it would have been ok. For the price I would have expected better.

the entrance is from the backyard and a bit disappointing, smell of detergent in the entrance hall, room was clean, room service only after request, easy and ample parking area, staff polite and helpful

I enjoyed my stay at meinschloss. Stayed for the nights and ate in the restaurant. The bedroom was comfortable and quite well equipped. The meal I had in the restaurant was excellent. (Char with sweet potato gnocchi). Breakfast was a buffet style continental with eggs cooked to order

I get it: during post-Covid hotels are trying to recoup their losses. But Mein Schlosshotel should consider making a good reputation for itself in forums like this, rather than fleecing travelers. Despite the cute name, this hotel is nothing special: it is on the main thoroughfare of Heusenstamm, and one hears traffic noise. No air conditioning and also no blinds, so the room was blisteringly hot when I arrived for the summer solstice. The windows are good quality, but had to be left open all night. Along with the traffic noise the building sight next door opens at 7:00. The room was basically clean -- albeit the bathroom ventilator had layers of dust -- but the furniture, including the in the bathroom is IKEA quality. The lift only goes to the second floor, one has to walk up the steps to the 3rd and 4th floors. Conveniently, because of 'covid', the rooms are not cleaned until your departure. None of this would really warrant two stars, except the price -- Euro 276 for 2 nights, breakfast additional 13.50 -- is just outrageous for the quality. They seem to be counting on business travelers (like myself) not to care because someone else is paying the bill. They're wrong...
