Mediterraneo Hotel

So on booking this and reading the reviews we were pretty skeptical at what awaited us on arrival, we arrived around 1am and the man at the desk was helpful, efficient and friendly and as our room was at the top of the hill our bags, my mother and nephew were drove up to the room as it was quite a hike, we were lucky enough to have one of the ‘‘villas” with a private pool. The room! Now don’t get me wrong the room was clean and there was plenty of space but a villa it definitely was not, we had a bedroom with a king size bed and a spare single bed and the living room had a spare bed and the couch had been made up into a bed but not like a bed settee as we would know it where u pull it out and hav a mattress this was literally a case of just sleeping in the couch. This was our only criticism of the room. The cleaner was absolutely brilliant and so lovely, we were also lucky enough to have nobody in the room above us after our first day which meant we had use of both pools and the whole outside area which was brilliant. The pools down in the main hotel were lovely and clean and I found the pool next to the splash park seemed to be the quieter for all it was the larger pool. We had a nice few days down there. The food which probably has had the biggest slating from people was if truthful probably not the best I’ve ever had but u could always find something to pick at, breakfast we found was by far the best meal of the day, the snack bar seemed to be hitty missy but they always had fresh salads on offer. The ice cream was a big hit with my 2 year old and I won’t lie me aswell. I can’t comment on the alcohol as we did not drink this holiday, but the soft drinks were fine yes the cups were small but it really wasn’t such a hassle to go and refill unless of course you are completely lazy. The animation team seemed to be lovely and my little girl did like the mini disco, I have no issues with any of the staff they all seemed friendly and pleasant. We did eat out a couple of nights and would highly recommend the station 24 restaurant the food was absolutely brilliant and reasonably priced aswell. All in all we had a nice holiday I would not personally revisit this area but I wouldn’t totally dismiss this hotel, it is what you make it. Huge thank you to our cleaner and the groundsmen who work tirelessly during the day, you do great work.

Great vacation, good food. They were very helpful at the reception when we had a problem with our room. Food was good, but after a few days it becomes monotonous. If you can, take a massage at the wellness centre. Vasi and Adina were so so good, the massage was a 10/10! Thank you!

Great hotel ..Rooms very clean and staff go above and beyond to make your holiday a great.stay...The main manager is very polite and goes out of his way to make any changes needed if required..I stayed for 10 days and would definitely recommend . The food was great always different and we never got bored as with some all inclusive hotels. Pools all clean, slides great...what more do you need for a family holiday ...I would like to thank the Team for a delivering a lovely holiday for myself and the family and will look at booking again for next year.👍

I was so worried about coming here as I am picky with food and cleanliness. Phew! is all I can say! The rooms are clean but basic - no kettle. There is a fridge and hair dryer, air conditioning. No pool towels so take them. Food has different themed nights including Italian and Chinese. All the food is tasty and fresh. The staff are constantly cleaning. Be early if you want a sunbed. No reservations can be made. Short walk to the beach and shops. 8 euro in a taxi to the town or a 30-40 mini walk. I would visit again in a heartbeat. The downside to this holiday - Poolside bar staff - miserable. One member never spoke once to me! I was polite and spoke Greek where I could. Could do with an airer in the room to dry clothes. You are stuck with nothing to drink between 9.30 and 11am as nothing is open.

Just returned from family holiday. Hotel staff lovely. Room clean but dated. Cleaners came in every day. Some located at top of hill we requested one near reception. Air con free but only in main bedroom. Food mostly good although 5yr old struggled. Drinks served in plastic cups which is fine during day but would have been nice to have glasses on a evening. Only got these if paid for drinks. No cocktails on FI package which was disappointing. 2 bars 1 in main building other near pool both open evenings. Watch drinks left during day as attracts wasps. Had to get up with towels for sunbeds by 8am but we wanted 9 together. Gets busy at pools mid morning but then quieter in afternoon. Pools cold but didn't bother us too much. Small area with slides. Deposit for towels some of which needed replacing deposit returned at end. Didn't find entertainment good not much for kids and only bingo/karaoke /quiz on a night. The team didn't really come round and tell you what was happening that day never saw them come to 2nd pool only based at main pool. Didn't use spa but was quoted for a massage which was expensive. 20 min walk into town or good bus service at bottom on hill. Aquarium well worth a visit. Small shop on site was adequate. Tourist tax to be paid on arrival but jet2 did inform us of this. 1hr transfer but lots of stops on the way. Airport very busy limited eating places. Wouldn't return as have been to nicer hotels in crete

The hotel is okay, nothing special. Staff members are friendly. The location is great, nearby the beach, shops and restaurants. Book a Spa treatment, it is really nice. Ask for Adina and you will have a fine massage (or facial). 5 stars for the SPA. Thanks again Adina!

Hi Adina this Tom I promise a good review. Here it is. It's was a great massage thanks 🙏 again so much The rest off the hotel is great to rooms a bit older but sure ok ! The only bad thing is that many room are on the mountain 🏔️ and many stairs to go to your room The food also awesome only thing is cocktail at the bar are not free this I don't understand booking a All in and still have to pay 6 eu Also wifi 10€ a week for a 4 star ⭐ all in strange.. But all the staff is really nice

Perfect service. There Is just little bit worse Acoustic insulation. But you hear only spas lobby. It is still relaxing place. You can get all information in front od restaurant in the afternoon or lobby in basement. The service Are realy friendly and profesional.

I have a lot of good things to say about the hotel and especially the staff. I have had much more expensive Greek holidays and while I love a bargain, I was expecting utter luxury. I did read a few scathing reviews of the food, service and cleanliness of the rooms. I have had no problem with any of these things. The staff upon check in at the desk were extremely kind and checked us in quickly and let us leave our luggage so we could get to lunch before it finished. Consideration costs nothing but it’s something I really appreciated after a long journey with a 4 year old. In terms of the cleanliness, the rooms are fine! The housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient and the serving staff in the restaurants are also awesome. Eva in particular made my little girl feel like a princess and greeted her by name after the first day. She has remained so kind with a ready smile for the whole visit so far. But I have had nothing bad to say about any of the staff. One of the housekeeper noticed that I was using a blanket underneath my pillow and put an extra pillow on my bed. I hadn’t asked. It was just kindness and consideration. The food is good. We always find plenty to eat and breakfast in particular is as good as I’ve had anywhere. My fussy four year old is eating VERY well and the snack bar is a real asset to the hotel and its commitment to being convenient to families. I’m loving my stay here and i have to say my experience with Jet 2 who I’m travelling with has been exceptional.
