Our stay at Abalone was our favorite on our two week getaway. Everyone was so kind and made us feel like family. We loved the intimacy of the lodge and the location was great. The cliff path is right behind the lodge and we loved that it was easily accessible. Everything was well kept and so clean. The food was amazing and we wished we could’ve eaten there more. If you can we recommend having dinner there, we had an amazing meal cooked by their chef and it was one of the best ones we had. We hope to be back one day and see all our friends at the lodge! Thanks Simo and Ansley as well as the rest of the staff for making our time there so memorable!

This guest house is absolutely superb!! Rooms are unbelievable with views over the ocean and possible sightings of whales! Staff are very friendly and attentive , woukd definitely recommend this place to stay and just chill out these guys that work here go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and the rooms are just wow!!

My favourite place on our holiday in South Africa - that’s not just because we could see Whales from our room . This place was just perfect lovely spacious comfy rooms with everything you could possibly want . Super friendly staff who were soo welcoming & could not do enough to make you feel at home . Would not hesitate to return- also had a fabulous massage from the the lovely Agnes

Abalone is fantastic place to stay, beautiful views, spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and a lovely welcome basket with fruit & cheese and a bottle of bubbly. It is located centrally and has direct access via a walkway to the beach. I loved the herb and vegetable garden in the courtyard, very friendly staff and I can recommend it any time

We returned to the Abalone for a second time, we like the rooms facing the sea with spectacular views. We enjoy the proximity to the coastal path for extended walks which are very safe. Ainsley runs the place perfectly!

We had the most incredible stay at Abalone Lodge. The staff were so kind and friendly, the food was delicious and of course the facilities and room exceeded our expectations. We had a lovely room with an ocean view, which made the stay even more special. The direct access on the cliff path was perfect for local beaches and the location is also so convenient to town. This is a place I could not recommend enough, incredible place!
