The villa is beautifully designed, with spacious rooms and excellent communal areas. We were blown away by away with the view from the Southern Right suite - absolutely stunning and we spotted whales as soon as we walked in! Our kids rooms were also lovely - spacious with equally nice bathrooms! The staff were super friendly and attentive - nothing was too much bother! I couldn’t recommend this guest house highly enough!!

We stayed 2 nights, this place is excellent. We had the upstairs apartment with sea views, even although we have travelled a lot this is one of the best views. Food and service excellent with Francois, Bridon and James and a the ladies always super attentive. Thank you Breakfast super, all fresh. Joe and family from Ireland

We spent two nights at Mosselberg On Grotto Beach last week with our daughter who was out from the UK. From the first greeting when we arrived and Francois met us in the car park we were made to feel welcome. It was very cold and wet but Brighton had a roaring fire going in the communal lounge and we spent a lovely evening there enjoying a drink from their fully stocked bar and sushi which Francois kindly collected for us from town. Breakfast was a treat with a full range of cereals etc plus fruit and eggs etc to order. Gem took over from Brighton on the second day and we found him equally helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

We had a wonderful stay at Mosselberg on Grotto Beach! The location is absolutely perfect—just steps from the beach, making it ideal for relaxing walks and stunning ocean views. Breakfast was a real highlight: delicious food served with the most breathtaking view. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, and everything was beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for a serene coastal getaway

This truly immaculate guest house on Grotto Beach ticks all the boxes. Great location, wonderful rooms, superb breakfasts and lovely staff. Lots of unexpected extras like a complimentary nightcap and chocolates. Worth every penny! Our only disappointment was that we could not get in for 2026!

What a great boutique hotel experience!! We dedicated to splurge and booked the Southern right room. It did not disappoint. The views were spectacular, the room spacious and cozy at the same time. The fire was lit each evening creating a romantic ambience as we sipped the evening cordial. One evening we sat with another family in the living room on the floor below and had wonderful and interesting conversation. An all-around amazing experience.

After spending time researching the properties in the area, and changing our time of travel to have 5 consecutive nights at Mosselberg, we were delighted to have booked this lovely guest house. Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast, and the location was perfect for us. As we opted not to rent a car, local transport was never a problem. Quiet location, fantastic views of fynbos, (natural vegetation) and the sea, with the mountain behind us. Easy access to beautiful Grotto Beach. Thank you for hosting us!
