Oh dear. How to best describe this "experience" without sounding rude? Okay, let's start with the good bits, which lifted the review back up from the one star I felt like giving at one point. The breakfast buffet is GREAT. Better than in any five star hotel I visited. The rooms are large. Some of the staff are A) competent B) helpful and C) friendly. A few even tick all the boxes. Spa area is perfectly okay, especially the sauna looking over the lake. Great parking, free of cost. Otherwise, the receptionist was confused, confusing and hard to understand. Yes, he was a learner, but still. There is no signage whatsoever inside the hotel and given the confusing building set up, it's not easy to work out where to go.Fortunately, a friendly staff member was able to explain things. Arrival is not until 4PM.Okay, that can happen. What can't and mustn't happen is that one room of two then hasn't been done - and the cleaning staff in doing all the other rooms in the corridor first. Soggy mattresses which should havebeen replaced ages ago are a no-no. No wine card in a four star hotel is beyond no-no. The (visibly bored) waiter when askedfor the wine card esponded with "Red, white, or rose?" We said we wanted a wine card. He repeated his mantra.Only then did he deign to explain there were no wine cards. Only carafes. Needless to say, the wine was undrinkable. We wanted to eat a-la-carte, which is possible, although the selection is limited.The selection was even more limited, because a couple of items on the menu were "not available". Pardon? When even the dessert wasn't available (the freezer had broken, which can happen) even the bored waiter was embarrassed. The kitchen then created a special dessert , which wasn't put on the menu. That is actually great customer service. Upon checking out we faced more complications, none of which were a disaster- just too many niggly things that can happen once in a while even if they shouldn't. One or two are normal. Karma. All of it taken together is a sign of a house in trouble.

Sehr ruhiges Haus in toller Lage direkt am See. Das Frühstück-und Abend-Buffet ist sehr schmackhaft, vielseitig und sehr reichlich. In den Galleriezimmern hat man sehr viel Platz, was ebenfalls zum angenehmen Aufenthalt beiträgt.

Wir hatten ein wunderbares Familienwochenende im Göbel´s Seehotel. Mit 13 Personen - 4 Kinder (im Alter von 1,5,6 und 8) und 9 Erwachsenen konnten wir alle entspannt viel gemeinsame Zeit verbringen. Das Hotel hat alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt. Es ist ein Haus, das für Familien ideal ist. Kinder sind sehr willkommen und bekommen ein abwechslungsreiches Angebot geboten. Dies führt zur Entspannung der Eltern. Die Großeltern haben Zeit für Kinder, Schwiegerkinder und Enkel.

Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter aber wird mit Liebe und Sorgfalt geführt. Vorwiegend junges Personal, alle sehr nett! Frühstück ein Traum. Die Chalets sind für Familien perfekt. Wir kommen wieder!

Redelijk goed, mooie omgeving. Maar het was vervelend dat de rook van de sigaretten van de benedenburen (vooral linksonder) in onze kamer te ruiken was, en we er zelfs om 7 uur wakker van werden. Heel vies! Asbakken staan heel uitnodigend op de terrassen / balkons, terwijl er in de kamers niet gerookt mag worden. Het is jammer dat dit hotel nog geen manier heeft gevonden om een goed luchtzuivering te hebben. We hebben dit gemeld bij de receptie maar die wil er eigenlijk niets aan doen omdat ze bang zijn dat er anders geen rokers meer komen en ze te weinig gasten hebben. Een ander punt was de wellness. Uit de informatie lijkt het een hele grote ruimte te zijn, maar er kunnen ongeveer 8 mensen binnen op een ligstoel liggen en buiten misschien ook nog een paar. Maar het is een veel te kleine ruimte, waar je bijna elkaar aanraakt als je langs elkaar loopt. Niet prettig, dus we zijn snel weer weggegaan.

Wir waren als Ehepaar im Januar 2025 im Seehotel und weil es uns gut gefallen hat, haben wir im Juni dort ein mehrtägiges Familientreffen organisiert. Der Service war jetzt unterirdisch. Es ist lobenswert, wenn das Hotel junge Menschen ausbildet, aber es ist nicht zu akzeptieren, wenn diese ohne jede Unterstützung von erfahrenen Kollegen allein auf die Gäste losgelassen werden. Nachfragen nach einer Viertelstunde, wann eine Bestellung aufgenommen werde köne, wurden mit der Bemerkung abgetan: " Immer schön der Reihe nach". Fragen, welcher Kuchen zum Kaffee angeboten werden könne, mit der Aufforderung: " Schauen Sie doch bitte selbst nach, das Auge isst mit". Bitten, nach zwei Tagen das Zimmer zu reinigen, wurden ignoriert. Zu den Mahlzeiten wurden die Speisen nicht selbständig oder trotz Aufforderung teilweise gar nicht nachgefüllt. Die Kartoffeln waren im Inneren roh. Kurzum, einem ****Hotel entsprachen die Preise ( Flasche Wasser über 8€) aber nicht der Service. Als Organisator des Familientreffens war es mir peinlich, das Hotel ausgesucht zu haben.

Wat een mooi en goed hotel. Uiterst vriendelijke ontvangst en alles en meer zoals in de brochure vermeld. Ontbijt, lunch en diner waren geweldig een overdaad aan voedsel. Kamers en personeel top! Een aanrader voor wie rust, ruimte en kwaliteit zoekt. Een mooie uitvalsbasis voor wandelaars en bikers.
