Staff is the best, so attentive, credit to the company 👌🏼 great location, breakfast was brilliant, room was spotless and bed was incredibly comfortable, great nights sleep as in the advert. 24 hour reception - there is always someone on the desk to help!

Hotel as good as ever with very friendly and helpful staff. Building seems a little neglected by Whitbread but was presented clean. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Main objection was having to get in the car and go somewhere else for evening meal (Unless perhaps you wanted something from the microwave.)

Poor Hereford Holmer Premier Inn - it’s doing everything it can to make it’s guests comfortable given the price point we are working at here. ‘The Social’ has clearly been recently fitted out in an attempt to make up for the loss of the amenity that was the associated pub (closed) on the site. The food was very basic, but hot and served with some care which was unexpected - in fact the staff generally really do show they care and they didn’t seem short staffed when we visited. I am grateful to the reviewer who mentioned the pot holes at the entrance (be careful!). I hope a decision is made soon about the pub and the outside environment because visitors and staff alike deserve better than to stay/work in these conditions anything other than short term.

Overall the stay was pleasant. Almost all the staff were absolutely lovely and willing to help whenever needed, breakfast was good too. However one member of staff appeared rude on arrival, think the name was Sam, and seemed to speak to staff the same way too, which my partner and I agreed wasn’t very nice to witness, if this had not happened we definitely would’ve rated a 5/5.

Good parking, hotel and room nice, clean and warm. Only bad point was the cost per night. I paid £150 per night, which I feel, was way too expensive. Due to unforseen circumstances this was my only hotel option others there's no way I'd have paid that much for a premier inn, in Hereford.

I'm usually impressed with the Premier Inn brand as it is consistent and the beds are always comfortable. On this occasion, the bed was the only really good thing: everything else was tired and not 100% clean. Criminally, there were no power sockets by the bed and these were only provided on the opposite wall. Come on guys, this is 2025! Bedside light on one side didn't work. The shower was difficult to control and not the thermostatic type. So I endured both scalding and cold water as the neighbouring rooms used theirs. The heater was rusty and the activating thermostat so noisy that it was impossible to sleep with. Left it off. Oh, and the bathroom fan was completely inadequate. The mirror never cleared. Generally, everything seemed tired (including the carpet). I'll still use the brand, but this one desperately needs a refurb.

The room we initially entered smelled of cigarette smoke, however when we informed the reception staff they promptly moved us to a different room. The room itself was clean and the air conditioning meant it was cool and not too stuffy during the night. The bed was comfortable and there wasn't too much outside noise. Although the breakfast was tasy - we went down for breakfast an hour before close and ordered our vegan sausages and bacon - however when we went up to get other cooked items (beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, hashbrowns etc), everything was empty. We then had to wait 15 minutes for the other items to be cooked which meant our sausages and bacon had gone cold. It would have been better if the items were replenished when they started to go low instead of asking us and others at breakfast if they wanted more, as you then felt bad for asking even though you had paid for it. One last thing to mention - there is a massive pot hole as you come in/out of the car park so be careful!

We’ve stayed in many Premier Inns over the years but it’s clear that there is so much cost-cutting going on. From little things like only 2 mugs and no glasses in the room to no more daily cleaning since COVID (5 years now) to the disappearance of the next door pubs with meals and breakfast being provided “in house”. The new “restaurant” within the building is tiny. We attended breakfast when it wasn’t busy and even then there was much “excuse mes” and apologies for getting in the way so goodness knows what it’s like during peak time. We were unable to book ahead and pay for our breakfast in advance at reception which was disappointing as we’ve always done that before. The evening meal menu was extremely limited and for what it was, very expensive. The staff were great and you could tell that they were putting in the effort but it was basically supermarket ready meal quality and tiny portions. It’s sad to see Premium Inns go down hill when it used to be a treat to stay at one. Air BnBs for weekends away for us now…..
