Very good location, close to the port, long distance and short-distance bus station. Walk for a few minutes. It is also close to the busiest square, full of restaurants and cafes. No need to choose a sea view room, the window is small, a little sea view. The front desk service is very good, the commercial atmosphere of Crete is not strong, people are very friendly!

WE' LL COME BACK! Fantastic joy& pleasure we have had at Aquila Hotel at our stay there at Heraklion, it was our first time. Enjoyed it at breakfast, our room was so clean& with enough space with terrace& great view...Pool on 6th floor was pleasurable..All Hotel is interesting with exterior as well as interior...This hotel have so much to offer&most important to give you touch of happines at your stay! Lots of smiles from Belgrade:)) J&K

We recently stayed at the Metropole and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment wr arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choices. I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable and enjoyable stay while in Greece. There are a maze of options but you will do yourself a favour by staying here.

The hotel is not in the old town of Iraqi Lion, but the location is very good, 5 minutes walk from the station, parking around is also convenient. The room was clean, spacious, quiet and the facilities were very new. We enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel service is also very good, help us call a taxi. Many local rentals in Heraklion do not play tables, so I ask for the hotel, which is very convenient. Recommended stay.

GGiorgos Papadopoulos 17Good location, excellent service and amazing staff. They were very friendly and our room was very clean and tidy. Also it was smelling freshness when we entered the room. Everyday they ask you if you want your room to be cleaned and they are always available to help you. I 100% recommend it and will definitely stay again!

PPhotoguyGreat hotel, the rooms were spotless, the cleaning staff were attentive and friendly, the front desk staff was cheerful and extremely helpful when I needed some meds on a Sunday. They searched for a pharmacy that was open, and then called to make sure.

At the reception (a blonde girl with blue eyes whose name I don't remember) very kind and friendly and professional in managing the city, the guys at breakfast were attentive to needs and requests (incredibly they remembered perfectly in the days following the first request) , the guys at the restaurant on the top floor are good and the cooks and chefs are exceptional..
If I return to Heraklion, it will be the only hire I will consider!

JJoshDBWRoom was cosy and big with good facilities (especially the balcony), and the breakfast was the expected options but filling. One drawback would be that it took the staff a long time to clean and prepare the room, even though the end results were just ok. For example the shower gel was merely filled with water to give the appearance of it being full, rather than replacing the bottle. Maybe this was the previous occupant but the hotel could look to keep an eye on details a little closer.

GGuest UserThere is a double bed and a single bed in the room. Although the space is not large, it is fully furnished: there is a wardrobe and a desk. The bathroom is not small, and there is a small window for ventilation. We had a corner room with a long balcony. Although the room faces a side street, the doors and windows are well insulated so you don't feel noisy when sleeping at night. The location of the hotel is pretty good, six or seven minutes' walk from the Lion Fountain. The front desk is greeted by a friendly uncle who speaks English, and the check-in and check-out procedures are simple and quick. There is a bus right in front of the hotel. Whether you are coming from the airport or taking a bus to Heraklion, there is a direct bus stop at the door. Hygiene is OK, there is a hot water kettle. Breakfast was richer than I expected. All in all, the price/performance ratio is very good.

GGuest UserThe staff service is very good, the facilities and food are very satisfactory. The only thing is that the hotel only provides bottled water on the first day, but you can buy it near the hotel. In addition, the hotel only provides one paper cup per person, and there is no cup supply at all in the bathroom. Paper cups cannot be washed multiple times and are not used for many days. Especially in the last two days, replacement is no longer available and has to be cleaned.

The young man on reception immediately sorted out a new room which was clean and comfortable.
He provided cold drinking water which was lovely after a long journey and offered any assistance needed.
Very central to town and transport.
1 minor point - tea, coffee etc provided but need some sachets of milk.
Would stay again and is recommended.

XXiangxiangzaibaliThe breakfast variety is very rich and the location is very good on the top floor. The room was very good, there was hair on the pillow, but it didn't matter if I was thrown in the cabinet. As other guests comment, the block downstairs is very unfriendly, I don't know if they will attack people, but at least it looks scary, girls are best not to pass there at night
