The good: Pre stay communication with the hotel was done smoothly and the reception replied quickly to my email. In my email I requested an early check-in as well as a table reservation from the Brasserie restaurant. The receptionist said that the staff would do their best in order to accommodate my early check in request and booked the table from the restaurant for me. When I arrived at the hotel this was true and I was given my room at 1 pm, so 2 hours prior to standard check-in time. The receptionist who checked me in was very kind and tried to speak Swedish with me. She also remembered that I had stayed there before and said welcome back to me. She also said that it would be fine if I checked out an hour later so at 1 pm. The room was upgraded one category up from deluxe to premium deluxe. In addition, there was a greeting card from the General manager welcoming me back to Helsinki and a small box of chocolates which was a nice touch. The Spa at the hotel is absolutely fabulous and it’s a nice place to relax after a busy day. Always worth the visit. The receptionist who checked me out was very kind and remembered to welcome me back again. The bad: Overall, I had a very good stay here. There weren’t any major flaws during my stay, but there were some mistakes done by the restaurant Brasserie kitchen in my food order. However, the restaurant waiters were very kind and apologetic. They even offered me a complimentary salad while I waited for my dinner order to get corrected.

Check-in here is a system that is done by machine. After entering the booking number. Take a photo of your address, name, passport and yourself there. At this time, data is input into the card key and you can enter the museum. Since there is a dedicated staff from around 8 am to around 5 pm, it can be called if there is something that is not understood. As for me, the other group did not have the 6-digit number used here in the reservation completion vote sent, so when I asked the staff, they looked it up and told me the 6-digit number. Location is within 10 minutes from the ferry terminal on the Viking Line. Unknown from the airport and bus station. Facilities are game room in laundry room on the first floor. Cooking room (although each room has a kitchen) bicycle storage. Temporary storage location (keep it until check-in) Please note that you need a card key from the entrance to each floor from the elevator to your room, so be careful not to lose it. There is a telephone to the designated telephone except for the staff stationing. The room was a room with a shower, a toilet and a washbasin in a relaxing space with a kitchen with a dishwasher and stove in the refrigerator and freezer. The interior was well cleaned and beautiful. The pots and tableware provided were beautiful, but they were disinfected with hot water. Very comfortable and I want to use it again. Check-in is small 々 complicated.

There are vacations you take, hotels you stay in and people you meet who enhance the overall experience exponentially. This was all true of our exceptional time in Helsinki and a large part of this experience was owed to our wonderful 3-day stay at Hotel F6. A large amount of this is owed to the sterling staff -- among the elites in all our travels. Our story started a day before our actual stay, when we requested to store extra luggage before our overnight trip to Tallinn, Estonia. Without hesitation, the staff agreed to watch over our large luggage for free before our actual check-in the next day. This kind act greatly helped us during our mini cruise to Estonia. The following day, during our check-in, we met Ida, who became not only our Helsinki dining expert, but also a great person to get to know all around. Ida helped secure every reservation for our culinary journey from the first night. She is an exceptional employee and a great asset to an already amazing staff. We thank her for making our stay at F6 so comfortable and fun. Eimer was also friendly and full of help for restaurant ideas. We appreciate his fun demeanor and fun conversation. Our room was very conveniently located on the first level -- very spacious, clean and so easy to come and go. The hotel layout, especially the lobby and dining/lounge area were easy to access. The complimentary breakfast was fresh, well presented and very flavorful. Perhaps the best breakfast in town. Is this the best hotel in Helsinki? Let's just say the competition is slim. :-)

Booked this hotel for the convenient location. Few minutes from train station, sea front, shops and main tourist sites. I arrived late at night and was not sure about it at first. The reception area is in the bar/lounge and I thought I had booked a hostel. Rest assured the rooms are very nice and comfortable, breakfast is delicious and staff very nice and helpful. It’s descent value for money also. Only thing for me is that there was no desk in my room, so I went to the lobby to work. Highly recommending this slight quirky hotel overall.

The hotel is very good. There is a tram at the door. The room is a prison renovation. Many famous prisoners are being held. The hotel also sells nearby goods! Focus! Must eat breakfast. Breakfast is a mess.

You can relax on the large terrace outside, and the hospitality of the reception is very good. The quality of breakfast is very good and prices and eating out are good. In Scandinavia, which is very expensive, it is best to get good nutrition at the hotel breakfast. The only drawback is that it can be said for all Finnish hotels, but since the shower door is open, at first If I put a towel on the outside of the door without knowing it, it would get wet. It is better to put the foot towel outside the shower room and take a shower.

GLO Hotel Kluuvi is an excellent choice for a weekend in Helsinki. First reason is location. 7-10 min walk from the central train station, trams right outside the door, numerous restaurants next door, 5 min walk to the cathedral and 7-10 min walk to market square. Second reason is the price. We stayed in shoulder season, and payed about $150 per night including taxes and fees, internet and breakfast. Third reason is breakfast. Hotel breakfast saves you money, but it’s even better when it’s good. Their buffet offered hot foods (eggs, bacon, sausages and veggies), cereals, cheese, meat, breads, fruit, coffee/tea, and even custom juice from a dispenser controlled by an iPad app. They also had special dietary options including gluten free and lactose free. Fourth reason is the rooms. They were comfortable and spacious with all needed amenities. Overall we are thrilled with our choice to stay at GLO and would stay again.
