Aalto Inn

Otaniemi
The hotel is the foreign exchange center of Aalto University, which provides accommodation services for visiting scholars and students for several months or days. The rooms and living environment are very comfortable and clean, and the facilities are very complete. I really like it.

Kamppi
The location of the hostel is perfect—close to public transportation and the main tourist attractions in Helsinki. It was clean and calm. The bed has a curtain, a mirror, plugs, a lamp, and shelves. The hostel emails all the codes for the building and the hostel for easy check-in. There was no one at the reception when I arrived, but a welcome card was left with my room key. It was unacceptable that a low bed was not reserved for me. It was a nightmare to go to the upper bed.

Arrived late at night but there was a polite explanation about late check-in so there was no problem! The room is warm and the street is relatively quiet. It is in a good location with access from the subway station and bus stop.

Love the view of Helsinki. Reasonable price and have the essential. Confusing hidden entrance and didn’t have any instruction until I contact the hotline. Fortunately, they’ve replied quite swiftly.

Nice location and friendly staff, and THAT’S ALL THE PROS. GUEST WI-FI IS DOWN throughout my stay and no alternative network is available, then I missed one online meeting. BEDSIDE SOCKET IS BROKEN, making it impossible to use the phone or tablet while charging, and the ADVERTISING IS QUITE MISLEADING —I booked a single room at Trip.com, I thought it would be a room with private toilet, since nothing was mentioned in the title while other types of rooms are highlighted for the “shared bathroom”. Well, and the SOUNDPROOF can just be ignored. Maybe ‘Hostel’ is better for the name.

Great places, only had one roommate super peaceful hostel, ferry was absolutely on time so make sure you schedule yourself for that otherwise it’s a solid 40 mins wait in winter.
