Oak Tree Inn

Lovely location, very peaceful and quiet. Room was really lovely, very clean and tidy and nice size. Food was excellent in the evening.

This was the first time in a while that we had visited this inn despite the living very near. We had dinner here with friends and had an amazing time. Service was faultless, food delicious, and a lovely atmosphere in the dining room. You can also eat in the bar area . All in all, a lovely evening

recently dined and stayed at OAK TREE using the dine and stay package and was really disappointed with my experience. The service was incredibly slow; we waited far too long for our food and when it did come i got mine at a different time to my partner and when she did get hers it was stone cold , which was frustrating. When we finally asked about our order, the response was unhelpful and dismissive. To make things worse, the so called manager, who was quite aggressive and rather rude, came over to address our concerns. Instead of offering an apology or assistance, she seemed annoyed and condescending and when we checked out she contuied to think she was in the right and ended up throwing are bill on the table and storming of. It was surprising to see such poor customer service from someone in a managerial position. While I had high hopes for the food, the slow service and the manager’s attitude overshadowed everything. It’s a shame because I wanted to enjoy my meal, but I left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I won't be returning, and I hope they can improve their service and management approach in the future. can i say the lady who did the breakfast on her own is amazing the breakfast was 10/10 such a shame the rest of the experience.

Stayed here with friends overnight on Friday to attend Thirsk race's Service first class Food as good as you would find in the westend of London (I know what im talking about i worked as restaurant manager at Rules restaurant covent garden for 25 year's) A big thank you to all concerned

Stayed here with work and already booked again. Rooms are immaculate and the food is out of this world..... all the staff are a credit to this establishment & chain. Especially Stephen the chef - who's willing to go the extra mile for the customer ...... amazing service and already booked again and looking forward to another amazing meal .... So lucky to have found this place 5* without doubt ....
