I have just come from a 4 day seminar at Insel Hotel. First of all, and I think it's very important, the staff was without exception very friendly and helpful, no matter what time of day. We were 13 people and on the first day we were accommodated in an extremely small and cramped seminar room, something seems to have gone wrong in the planning. But you immediately apologized and from the afternoon remedy. We had lunch 4 times, we could choose between two dishes. There was gnocchi and fish with spinach and potatoes on two days each, I would have liked a little more imagination when planning the menu. I had a single room on the 3rd floor. The bathroom was relatively new, but the room still had the charm of the 80s. The bed sheet had some unsightly stains, when I complained about this, it was immediately remedied and new covers. On the second day the TV remote control didn't work anymore, here too the response was immediate and friendly. In fact, I was disappointed with housekeeping. In the room only my duvet was turned down and the bathroom was unfortunately not cleaned at all. The glass door might look good, but the disadvantage is that it has to be cleaned regularly and if you don't do that, well then it just looks very unclean. A definitely positive point to mention is the quality of the duvet and pillow! Simply great!!! Incredibly light and soft! I read some reviews on here that were critical of the breakfast. In my opinion, the selection wasn't overly huge, but it doesn't need to be, maybe just an additional type of cheese....it was also refilled when empty and the rolls were delicious! I'll be back in a few weeks and maybe I'll be lucky and get one of the renovated rooms.

We opted for a suite because they are air conditioned. They are very large, with a living room with a small fridge. The bathroom is equipped with a double sink, a shower and a bathtub, again the surface area is large. The bedroom space is also very pleasant. The decor is neutral but it's very good. A €7 breakfast is well worth the price. There is choice and quantity of salty and sweet. If you are not afraid of wasps, it is possible to have lunch on an outside terrace. There is a chicken fast food restaurant downstairs from the hotel, not great gastronomy but it helps. There is also a supermarket at the bottom of the hotel. Points of attention: there are no shutters or blackout curtains, so in June it is light in the room from 5 a.m. The suites are on the sauna floor. And the apartment has access to the terrace. On the terrace between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., mainly men lounge naked in the sun. So it's not a problem if you stay in the room or if you don't mind naturism. We remained confined in the room.

Beautiful really clean room with excellent bathroom contemporary styling. Free parking on site. Amazing breakfast with plenty of selection just off the autobahn nicely located by the River. Ideally for a transit stop. Friendly staff, highly recommend.

Wir haben in dem sehr schönen und gut ausgestatteten modernen Appartement ein schönes Wochenende verbracht und die ländliche Idylle um uns herum genossen. Toll war auch der Frühstücksservice mit frischen Brötchen direkt an der Wohnungstür. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I have one night in Heilbronn and there in the ”Pension am Schönen Theater” in Nordbergstr. 13 stayed. The corner isn't really that nice, streets with many lanes, lots of traffic, but the pension is a bit at the beginning of a side street and therefore it's not that loud there. There were problems when checking in, because a machine took over this, but after entering my data, it suddenly canceled the check-in and I couldn't come into the house! The pension is attached to the hotel at the beautiful theater, where after I called there an employee quickly came over and waited for the machine to give me my card, which allowed me to enter the house and my room. The room was spacious, well furnished, the bathroom was large, everything was clean and the street noise wasn't heard that much. In or at the house there were vending machines with drinks and snacks, unfortunately there was no breakfast. In front of the entrance was a large smoking corner, where people sat, smoked and talked with the front door open. It was fine for me for one night, but I didn't want to stay there in the corner any longer! By the way, I was just a cycling tourist for one night, there was no place to store my bike there and nothing to connect it to, I had to chain my bike to a chair in the aforementioned smoking corner. Personally, I found the price for one night without breakfast and above all without any service not that cheap.

For those looking for more variety, particularly Asian travelers, the options might feel limited as there were no warm dishes or other typical Asian breakfast items. One minor inconvenience was that our bottled water was not refilled after the first night, which was a bit disappointing. Also, be sure to lock your door because the cleaning staff may enter in the morning without warning, which can be quite startling if you're not expecting it. Overall, it's a good place for a quick stay, with a solid, reliable atmosphere and great cleanliness. Just be prepared for a few minor drawbacks, especially if traveling with family, needing more space, or looking for specific breakfast options.
