We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights which included 6 game drives. We had an amazing time and would recommend this experience to anyone. The staff were very attentive and kind, and the food was incredible. We will never forget the time we spent here.

This game lodge has it all. Our safari drives included in our accommodation price were all amazing our guide Raynard was great fun and so knowledgable. It was fabulous being able to spend time with the animals in their habitat doing what they do! The spa was equisite, the food out of this world every meal was FABULOUS. The staff OMG they were all and I mean all of them super attentive, friendly & helpful. This afternoon we got to the pool when the pool bar was closed the bar maid went to get us towels so we could enjoy the pool - without us asking her! Top class venue with top class staff….

Went on a one night stay with the family. Great location and service. Not very impressed with the food that was served. We have been to Garden route game lodge many times before, and it has always been the highlight of the vacation, but not this time. The buffet has been changed to a normal menu. The dishes lacked flavor and the meat was dry. We were also a little disapointet over the zafari. They no longer have giraffes, and we had the impression that there were fewer animals now than it was 5 years ago. Although we saw many of the great fives, and our driver did a good job.

I had the most incredible experience at this Safari Game Drive Lodge! From the moment we arrived, Chamone and Nicole made us feel so welcome and at home. Their warmth and attention to detail really set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The highlight, of course, were the four game drives with our guide Luan. His knowledge of the wildlife and the ecosystem was truly impressive, and he made every drive an adventure. We saw incredible animals up close and learned so much about the landscape and conservation efforts. Luan’s passion for what he does made each drive even more special. I can’t recommend this lodge enough. From the exceptional service to the breathtaking safari experience, it was truly a trip of a lifetime! Thank you again Chamone for being such a wonderful person. The boss of the company should keep you guys where you are - hard working and especially such nice people are hard to find! All the best, Max & Johanna

My husband and I did a two-night stay this week! The Garden Route Lodge absolutely exceeded our expectations. The service was incredible, the views (from anywhere) were lovely, food was delicious and they made us feel so special for our honeymoon. We stayed in the deluxe chalet which was beautiful, comfortable, clean and roomy. Our wait staff, Catherine and Mary were both lovely. Our guide, Huwert, was excellent guide on our game drives - knowledgeable and funny. We saw all of the animals we hoped to, and some! Abigail in the spa did an amazing job with my massage and facial. I’m missing many names that made our time so enjoyable. You absolutely will not regret visiting the Garden Route Lodge!

What a wonderful long weekend away, and we wish we could have stayed even longer. Each game drive had something new to offer, it was just amazing to see so many animals from so close up and be able to sit and watch their interactions for as long as what we could. Our game ranger shared so many interesting facts and had a great knowledge of his field. All the staff provided exceptional service, from the golf cart drivers transporting your luggage to the restaurant staff. The restaurant had a wonderful menu every day and we were really impressed with their premier wine list. The accommodation was in a beautiful setting, very comfortable and with stunning views. We will most certainly recommend this to our friends and other family as well as to any visitor to our country! Thank you GRGL for a really amazing experience!
