Balgownie Estate Yarra Valley is a lovely place to stay, surrounded by a beautiful vineyard. There’s a walking path that leads up to a scenic viewpoint, offering a stunning view of the vineyard, and you can even see cows up close if you are lucky.
The room was cozy and comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. However, the air conditioning unit was a bit of a downside—it was blowing out dust and positioned right above the bed, which wasn’t ideal. A little more maintenance on that would improve the experience. The hotel eventually helped us to change to a new room which did not have any problem.
Overall, it’s a great place for a peaceful getaway in the Yarra Valley, with gorgeous scenery and a tranquil atmosphere.

Services were good in general. The indoor heated pool and gym were handy. In-room air conditioning was efficient and cool, which was much helpful on a 40 degree day. However room cleaness wasn't totally satisfied. The glass shelf for tumblers, cups and mugs was covered with dusts. The tumblers, cups and mugs were dusty and some with coffee stains. We had to wash them before using. Confirmed booking details says check-out time 10-11am, but reception advised there would be a $40 fee if we check out after 10:30am. A little harsh and unjustified for such charge.

Friendly staff and the room was clean and spacious. Room amenities was great and appreciate the warmer in the toilet. It was a relaxing stay for us. We definitely will be back again.

Balgownie Estate offer a beautiful and serene surroundings, we had a great relaxing weekend. Restaurant 1309 and Cellar serves exceptional foods and wines . A must-visit for wine and food lovers!
