A lovely place to stay in great location. Handy for the Bus and the Beach. Nice hosts and a good breakfast.

из плюсов наличие холодильника (больше ничего относящегося к кухне нет), из минусов слабый континентальный завтрак и великоватые для меня подушки, но основной минус - это отсутствие Wi-Fi в номере

The correct postcode was in the satnav for mYminiBreak, yet it was still tricky to find! On the approach to the site and as you crest a small hill in the road, your eyes are immediately drawn to the right, where a big and vibrant sign is tied to a fence advertising holiday caravans. Pretty soon after passing this sign you realise you’ve driven too far, so you turn around and quite easily drive past the mYminiBreak site again. After turning around a second time and driving to the postcode, you might notice the mYminiBreak sign if you’re lucky. It is set back and behind another building and hard to spot from the approach! Parking and following signs on foot to the site office, I came upon a handwritten scrawl on a gate marked private. Loudly calling ‘hello’, Nigel pops his head out from behind a computer in a room to my immediate left, I thought this was just a storage room full of old and dusty computers, but apparently it was functioning as a reception area. NOT WELCOMING AT ALL AND CERTAINLY NOT A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION! To make matters worse, my elderly mother had to use the broken breeze blocks to step up and gain access to the office. It was at this point my mother was having doubts about staying here at all. Nigel checked us in to our two stables/cabins and showed us around. Perfectly fine, but when he asked who we booked with and I told him *******, he pulled a face a face and said, ‘that’s unusual’, as if we were some form of lesser customer because we had used a genuine site where the accommodation is advertised. This is when I thought about telling Nigel to forget it and we’d find somewhere else to stay! The two rooms we were sleeping in were as advertised and in as perfect an order as you would expect, but over the next couple of days this appeared not to be the case! When it went dark it appeared the lighting in my room, ‘Pebbles’, was insufficient and poor, with the room not having a main light on the ceiling. The veranda outside hosted a table and two chairs for each of the four rooms, which is a great little touch, but not when the veranda isn’t covered from the rain, the cushions get wet and have then become mouldy! Furthermore there are wooden planters outside the cabins on the veranda. They had not been maintained, so what could have been an attractive addition to the cottages, was just an eyesore of plants in their plastic garden centre pots placed in the wooden surround. Simialrly, the hanging baskets had been planted in a slap dash manner and still contained the tags in them. In general this summed up the unkempt and lazily maintained holiday lets, as well as camping and glamping site, that is suffering from a serious lack of love! I noticed my bedside lamp had a crack in it and moved it to get a better look, that’s when it fell apart in my hand! The broken shards of China would be very dangerous if it was night time and you were barefoot, a perfectly reasonable thing to be while in bed and the broken shards ended up on t

We had such a lovely stay - the room was very comfy and cosy, the breakfast was lovely and Nigel was a great host. The location right near the beach was perfect, and within walking distance of the village amenities. There is so much to explore nearby! We'd highly recommend!

Quirky Barn Conversion - they have made the best use of the space. Downstairs the open plan Kitchen / Dining / Living room is spacious but upstairs the rooms are quite tight . The hosts Nigel and Carol were friendly and helpful but not intrusive .Carol quickly sorted the issue with the TV. The Barn was clean - it just needs a little love. Whilst there were no specific issues we didn't feel we were staying somewhere special.

We were booked to stay 7th to 16th September. Nigel was all smiles when he greeted us and showed us to The Woodshed which looked like a very nice conversion. I noted that there was a Rat box by the front but it didn't appear to have an active run to it and being a rural setting it didn't surprise me. However, that night, after we'd settled in bed, if you can imagine Rats doing 'Riverdance' with clogs on then that is what it was like all night in the ceiling and wall cavity right next to my head! Very difficult to sleep because there was loads of them making a terrific noise. It would go quiet for a while then kick off again. At breakfast Mr Marsh was not available for comment. In the breakfast room my wife picked up a Yoghurt that was out of date. I noticed the recyclable bottles of milk and orange juice had loose caps and when, whom I assume to be Carol, opened the fridge then I saw bottles of milk and orange juice with no caps at all so there was no way of knowing how fresh these were. Given the Rats then I could only bring myself to eat one slice of toast. Carol? said we could move to The Dairy but only for one night. When we were shown it then again, it looked like a nice conversion. However, while Carol? went to get some cleaning materials to give it a quick 'go over' I decided to have a look around to check for Rat runs. Sure enough, when I got round the back of the building there were fresh Rat runs, urine trails and when I opened the door of a cupboard attached to the back of the building then the floor was smothered with fresh Rat droppings. Suspecting that they may also be in the wall cavities then we decided that was enough and we packed our stuff and left. Our reason for choosing Heacham was that, in order to have a holiday, my wife is dependent upon kidney dialysis for 3 days a week. This can be extremely difficult to arrange but she'd got 3 days booked with a holiday dialysis unit in Dersingham so we had to try to stay in the area. Failing to find alternative accommodation then we returned home and managed to book an alternative from where we could honour the booked sessions. We decided to get through this and then contact Mr Marsh. When he told me that, in his opinion, the Rat infestation was seasonal then I told him that I was involved in gamekeeping and in my opinion all the evidence pointed to a long term infestation and I asked him to refund our £912. He said that he couldn't do so unless I wrote to him, which I have done and he has signed for the letter but he's made no attempt whatsoever to contact us. Given that he took our money knowing that, at the time, the place was infested with Rats and is refusing to refund us then we're preparing to escalate our claim. I post this review in the hope that other people do not lose out.

Just returned from 3 days at South Beach and would re-book in a heartbeat! Our accommodation was clean, comfortable and absolutely ideal for our needs. I can honestly say I have had the best 3 nights sleep for ages - the bed was that comfortable! The whole place has an air of total relaxation and everyone we spoke to there was of a similar opinion. Breakfast facilities are first class and Carol's cheerful, welcoming manner is delightful. It really is a cracking place to base yourself for a chilled time in Norfolk. Thank you so much - we had alovely stay.

Loved our 3 night break, we stayed in the stables which had everything we needed. The location was perfect, literally a stones throw from the beach. Included in the price was a help yourself breakfast, which we didn't realise you get until we arrived, no hot food apart from eggs, toast, crumpets etc but more than enough and a bonus we didn't expect! Would highly recommend, we're already planning to return.
