Ibis Budget Saint-Omer Centre

Better than a typical Ibis budget hotel as this one has air conditioning. Basic accommodation reflected in the cost. Staff friendly and free on site parking. A pleasant overnight stay on our way back to Calais. Plenty of restaurants in nearby St Omer for an evening meal. Would definitely stay again.

A budget hotel, with a basic breakfast and a comfortable enough room with separate toilet and shower compartments. The big plus for us was air con which kept things cool. The room was well sound proofed and the beds adequate. Breakfast was very basic and not very comfortable, very much like a fast food place with small seats / stools to sit on. Good, safe parking. Absolutely fine for a budget stop on the way somewhere.

Stayed as a one night family stopover on the way to Paris. Fairly handy for the motorway, ample parking, clean room and comfortable. Double bed and a single bunk over. We asked for two rooms together and they did that, right in front of the lifts so really easy to find! Great continental breakfast. Kids loved it. Friendly staff.

The hotel has great free parking, the location is about 10-15 minutes walk to a selection of restaurants, the rooms are basic as you would imagine, but clean, the basin is in the room, the real put off, we ordered a twin, we got a double, but, the shower is in the room, so no privacy. If you're not a couple, this is not good for you!

absolutely ideal for a short stay,plenty of parking,receptionists speak decent English and were polite,the rooms are small and basic but ideal for short stay,only 10min walk from main square and plenty of bars and bakery shops to choose from,30 mins from Calais and only 45min train ride from Lille,would stay for a overnight again

Been using this Ibis for many years for stop offs & weekends in St Omer. The breakfasts are very good value as always. But rooms (& beds in particular) getting a bit past it. On arrival I noticed our bed had a mattress topper - soon found out why! Even so, bed was hard & sagging in middle. It seems these days this budget Ibis hotel is near full occupancy - due to large group bookings by French police dealing with migrants. They keep themselves to themselves & are not as friendly as your average guest. Slightly alarming too, to see armed personnel congregating in your leisure hotel of a morning! That said - they have to be billeted somewhere & no doubt it’s very profitable for Ibis - but maybe Ibis should invest a little of that profit on replacing the mattresses more often!

If you've got a noon sailing back from Calais - Dover then I'd recommend staying here the night before. It is just a 35-minute straightforward drive to the port. We found the hotel to be quiet, the staff friendly and speak good english, and the breakfast was more than adequate. We had a 4-person family room which was clean. It is a short walk to a cluster of eateries, including a Buffolo Grill and a McDonalds (convenient, as we arrived after 9pm). The area feels safe, and there's ample parking to the rear of the hotel. Yes, the hotel is a little tired - but for an overnight stop for a family of four, I'd certainly come again. From the number of UK numberplates in the carpark, we are not alone.

As expected, rooms are small but OK. They're looking a bit tired, could do with a deep clean and a new coat of paint. Beds comfortable. She other people can't shut their doors quietly in the morning. It would be good to have soft close fixings on the doors. Breakfast is good for France, nice selection. Staff very helpful and friendly. Secure car park is a huge bonus.

Lovely stay at this hotel. Rooms small but clean. We arrived quite late due to delays in England. The concierge warmly welcomed us. Although we were late, we were able to get something to eat (pizza is served until 11:30pm). We needed extra pillows which wasn’t an issue. Had a great nights sleep. Continental breakfast was plentiful with good choices. Ample secure parking which is a must for us motorcycle riders. Would stay here again.
