Carol at the front desk handling the reservations was very helpful and kind. She was very knowledgeable about the resort and the area. The grounds were beautiful. My boys slept great, nice beds. They loved the fire pits and stores at night. Julie a manager there was also a great help as well. The people are wonderful here. The food at the Oaks, on site restaurant was really good too. We will definitely be going back. The only thing negative was the carpet in our room needed a deep cleaning.

The property was not busy when we stayed one night in mid August. The check-in and check-out process was friendly and efficient. We booked a resort side king room and were given a room overlooking the car park. It backed on to the conference room, and appeared to have an adjoining door which could only be into the conference room which was odd. As the hotel was quiet, we didn't experience any noise but were wondering what the room would have been like had there been a conference on. The decor is quite dark in shades of brown and a little tired although perfectly functional. The room was a decent size with a good mattress and there was a very small balcony. As we booked a non-cancellable rate we felt the hotel offered good value for money. There were a couple of improvements that could have improved our stay. There was no coffee making facilities in the room although there appeared to be coffee in the lobby which we didn't see until we were checking out. The main issue was the volume of the music around the pool. The pool would have been a nice place to relax if the music had been ambient background music. It was however a loop of awful fifties, sixties and seventies music of mixed genres from rock and roll to psychedelic played at such a level that you could hear it from some distance away. Who thought that was a good idea? The hotel restaurant was closed on Monday when we stayed. We tried the Marina Station restaurant at the marina which was also closed due to a 'staff appreciation evening'! We ended up eating at the Lakeview Tavern which offered good food and service so we would recommend eating there.

My wife and I have visited this resort many times in the past. Over time, it has become worn, shabby, and unclean. We rented a lakefront villa at a premium price. Upon entering, we had difficulty unlocking the worn out door handle and lock. Additionally, the door looks like it is on a shack rather than a $600/night villa. There is an obvious lack of care on the unit, Villa 1A. Furnishings appear that they are from the early ‘90’s. One shower handle just spins and doesn’t work. Housekeeping and cleanliness is lacking. Front desk staff we encountered was indifferent, bordering on rude. Ownership needs to put some money in updates and staff training. Great location, but we’ll be looking for different accommodations when we return. Also, it’s “pet-friendly”, which explains the chewed up carpet in the living area.

Recently stayed here with a church group. The rooms are lovely and the food was also good. Service was exceptional for meals and with Carol for checkin and questions during the stay. I only wish they had EV chargers like the nearby Holiday Inn

You cannot beat the views of Lake Chatuge! The hotel is directly on the lake with direct access to a dock and seating on the lake. The location cannot be beat and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. The rooms are a little older and could use updating, but they are spacious and comfortable. Loved the little patios - lots of use of outdoor space.

First of all Carol the receptionist was very helpful and pointed us in the right direction as far things to do! Room was nice and the shower would knock the dirt off you! Great pressure! Had great views of the lake and mountains! Very comfortable atmosphere! great location! Took a boat rental out on the lake for a full day of enjoyment!

We loved the beautiful view of the lake, the lobby area and entrance were beautiful. We had a beautiful room with a wonderful view. We were impressed with the room. And we loved Carol who took so much time and care with us at checkin and when we were leaving. She was warm, caring and explained a lot of details to us at check in. It was very obvious that she loved serving others ! We were very impressed. The only suggestions I offer was the need for some landscaping on some of the trees and some of the exterior of the building to shine a little more. It’s such a beautiful property that can shine even more with some detailing outside. We will be back !!💗

After looking over the website, Ridges appeared to be the nicest in Hiawassee. We were disappointed upon arrival, the grounds and sidewalks were covered in tree debris acorns etc. as if no one had maintained it in several weeks. The reservation was made for lake view and requested check in for 3 to 4 pm when arriving was told our room was not ready at 3:45 ? The place was virtually empty. So we waited until roughly 5:15 pm before we were able to get in our room. When entering the first obvious problem smell and very dirty feeling carpet. As for the view if you think seeing the tops of boat docks and hundreds of boats stored this is the perfect view for you! wow what a disappointment. 30 years ago I'm guessing the resort had an awesome lake view and grounds. That is long gone, it blends right in with the marina. Our room view was out a double sliding glass door that was damaged with age you could hardly open it. In addition the double pane glass was fogged due to age and that was prevalent throughout the resort. This resort is long overdue for a renovation. At $250 a night we expect way better than this, just glad we didn't rent one of the cottages at $450 a night!!

This was a last minute booking to compliment my wife's birthday excursion. Julie assisted us with making our last minute room reservation. Julie was very pleasant and helpful and was a true joy to finally meet and work with upon our arrival. She set us up with a nice room with a picturesque view from the balcony overlooking the lake. The grounds were very nice and we enjoyed walking around and taking in the scenic views. Julie suggested the on-site restaurant The Oaks Lakeside Kitchen for dinner. The hostess and waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating and the manger Troy was very nice and made the birthday evening end on a high note. That evening had a couple singing on the grounds which was very nice. This is a very relaxing atmosphere and would do it again without hesitation.
