"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in UK for quite some time, I loved everything about it. I wish I had stayed for a bit longer. My room was ama ing 😍.
Great service too."
"Borrowed the car to find the homestay near the airport, in the quiet street behind the bath road, two floors, basically can not hear the sound of the aircraft, the bathroom is shared, I do not know if there is a room with an ensuite. For self-check-in, I didn't receive the check-in email. I went to the address and contacted the service phone directly. After confirming the name, I sent the whatapp to give me the password. The house is decorated in a Nordic style and is simple. The room I got has an open kitchen. There is also a public area downstairs with dining table, sofa, microwave and washing machine. Two cars can be parked at the door of the house, on a first-come, first-served basis. There are also parking outside the street. At 8 o'clock in the morning, two people came to clean. At 9 o'clock, I came to ask when I checked out, because my room was the last room she needed to clean, so I later rested in the public area downstairs. Leave at 11 o'clock, of course, I can also give up the room at 11 o'clock. There seemed to be a lot of people coming to live at night, but they all left early in the morning. A transition is still possible for one night."
"Review of the Rosemay Hotel, London – 10/10
By Matthew Huxley Forrest
As a writer of fiction, non-fiction, screenplays, series, and documentaries—and someone named Huxley after Aldous himself, a friend and counterpart to George Orwell—it was nothing short of synchronicity to find myself staying in Orwell’s very own room.
The Rosemay Hotel is not just a boutique escape—it is a living, breathing act of reverence. From the moment I arrived, I felt immersed in detail, not decoration. The chandelier reflected perfectly in the mosaic beneath it. Real plants framed like art. The Orwell Library by reception offered a nod to legacy, not a shrine.
To sleep in Orwell’s former room, as Matthew ”Huxley” Forrest, was to experience a collision of timelines—where two philosophical lineages whispered across the decades. There was no fanfare, no museum velvet rope—just an unspoken truth carried through the wood, the light, and the quiet.
The family behind this space deserve enormous credit. Their design is masterful. Their spirit is gracious. The son—a sharp, soulful thinker—invited me into their world with the warmth of an old friend. The mother, a genius of flow and form, brings an invisible coherence to every corridor.
The Yorkshire roast they recommended might be the best I’ve had—and I say that as someone with Yorkshire blood.
Staying here was not a hotel experience. It was a chapter in a longer book. And I don’t say that lightly.
For those with ”eyes to see”, this is no ordinary accommodation. It is a place where synchronicity meets hospitality, and where thinkers—past and present—might just find their next idea between the walls.
This hotel doesn’t need to shout. It whispers, wisely."
"I had a very pleasant stay here. The best part was the customer service: every single member of staff was very attentive and made me feel welcome. The room was clean, spacious and well-equipped, as you would expect. Even though it is very close to the airport, you can't hear any planes or noise pollution. I also highly recommend the breakfast which was both fresh and varied."
"Nice n new building however was very disappointed as the feel is not new. Taps are so bad if u open for hot water than all the water goes over sink n splash on you. On top breakfast is below standard as everything pre made notfresh and we had staff knock at 8am for no reason. Very unpleasant. Must say cosmetics look n feel is nice!"
"Location, facilities, services all very good. Breakfast starts at 4:30am for people’s convenience, and lunch/dinner available all day. Very helpful staff, large comfortable public area for waiting. A little supermarket is available in the foyer for snacks & essentials. We also received a free late check out until 5pm just by signing up. Very good value for the money"
"Although the hotel is having refurbishment being carried out we enjoyed our stay
There was no disruption in our stay
The bar was open
Restaurant and swimming pool was closed but we went next door to have dinner which was lovely
All in all very nice stay"
"Simple hotel room but actually everything worked very well apart from the bath where the taps had been turned off so you had to use the shower. Probably a water saving measure. The WiFi was very fast and easy to connect. Staff were friendly. Historic! Who knew it was opened by the queen!"

HHal KennardVery friendly couple even offered me a portion of their dinner.
Comfortable room with big tv.
The host went out of his way to ensure he met all my needs and also provided privacy I needed to compete my work on computer.
GGuest UserOverall very good, very close to the airport, this price can live in London to such a hotel has been very value! We flew to London on AirAsia's CA937 flight. We came to the UK for the first time. After getting off the plane, we went to the rental car company to get the car. It was almost 8 o'clock. It was just black, and it was opened in five minutes. It was free at the door. parking lot. The hotel room is small, but it can be set up in a separate bathroom. In fact, for the person who arrived on the first day, due to the time difference, basically can't sleep in the middle of the night (except for the child, my son went to sleep and went to sleep until dawn), the size of the room does not matter, there is a place to stay. I woke up from one o'clock in the morning, although the hotel was facing the street, but it was super quiet at night! Breakfast is typical continental, simple but full enough. The front desk clerk is very welcoming and will automatically greet you if you appear in front of him and ask if you need help. Overall very good hotel, affordable, very suitable for family outings, you can't take it with Holiday Inn at this price, but definitely better than the public bathroom youth hostel
