Bodkin House

My family (17of us) recently stayed at a property in Petty France to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday. We decided to book a table at the Bodkin for the birthday meal. What a fantastic decision that was. Wonderful food and Gaynor and Matthew were perfect hosts. We also has pizzas take/away for another evening and had cooked breakfasts there on the day we left (saved last minute washing up). All highly recommended by all the family. Definitely will make another visit in the future.

We had a wonderful meal at the Bodkin House Hotel. The food was all fresh and home cooked. The new decor creates a wonderful, cozy environment in keeping with the country setting. Most of all, Mathew & Gaynor were so attentive to our experience. We will definitely be back again.

We didn't stay here but went here for a Sunday lunch by pure chance as were passing it along the main road. The choice of food was lovely, the meal was HUGE! Hosts were very friendly and the atmosphere was very calming and charming. Would highly recommend this lovely place!

We had a lovely time! Sunday lunch for seven with a very warm welcome, beautiful, cosy bar area with an excellent selection of local beers and ciders to choose from, open fire and lovely ambience. The Bodkin staff couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. Superb Sunday lunch menu - quality at a reasonable price. The new owners at The Bodkin have transformed the experience. Well worth a visit!

Stopped in for a roast enroute back from Westonbirt. The woman who served us was very friendly and polite. We sat in front of a very cosy log fire enjoying cider and an incredible Pork roast dinner. The food was very very good and the chef was very friendly too. Setting and environment was really good.

Our first visit to the newly renovated Bodkin House Hotel and what a difference 8 years has made. The new owners have done an excellent job of renovating this hotel and have brought it back from the tired and sad state it was back in 2016 to a wonderful , modern and exciting place to eat and stay over as they have also renovated the bedrooms. It was a pleasure to dine there and meet the new owners and sample their great menu. Guests can eat in the bar area or the restaurant and there is a private dining area as well . I could go on but go and give it a try as you will not be disappointed, the local area Badminton/Hillesley and Hawkesbury Upton have been missing a great place to eat out and now the Bodkin has been brought back to life . Well done to the new owners I hope the locals take advantage of having such a great place on their doorstep and anyone visiting the Cotswolds should stay here .
