The staff was kind. I think the hotel restaurant is not bad, so I am satisfied. The room was clean and tidy.

The hotel is located right near a row of shops, and it's just a short drive away from the city. There is onsite parking for $12 a day, and you will be able to enter and exit the carpark as many times as you like. The staff were extremely helpful with requests and very friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting Canberra.

We booked this hotel under ”Luxury escapes” and it certainly wasn't luxury! When we got there the receptionist was absolutely terrible (no customer service skills whatsoever) and not to us but to others as well. When asked about parking she said it's just across the road. Asked her how to get there and she gave us a printed form and said that should tell us - no explanation of form of direction. When reading the instructions it was very confusing and it took us a while. We were meant to receive a free bottle of wine and a voucher. Didn't get that, I had to call reception to ask for it and had to go down to reception to pick it up. Got back to the room and there was 1 wine glass. I gave up and on the following day asked for another wine glass. She said she would send it up via housekeeping......it never came. On the second day we had to evacuate because the fire alarm went off. My husband has a walking stick and finds it very difficult to move. But we did it. Got the site where you go for evacuation and there's no one there to direct us or anything, I find that very poor especially in a hotel. I had booked previously to go back in April but I quickly cancelled it. Worst hotel I've ever been to

The environment is very good, the front desk service of the first reception is also good. Proactively helped us solve many problems. And told us that we can check out at 2 pm, we can have more rest meetings the next day, so we have a conference call after the check-in day, but the door is knocking from 8:00 to 12:00 the next day. The attitude is extremely bad. I have been explaining to the front desk the next day that the hotel told us that we can check out at 2pm. The new front desk still asks me to pay another day's room rate. Spending money is a trivial matter, but the attitude determines my impression of the hotel. Many hotels in Australia have a very good service attitude, but this one is very disappointing.

Hotel location📍   We drove at 8 o'clock in the morning in Sydney. We stayed in the zoo in Canberra for about 5 hours. We drove in from the entrance. On the left is Jamala's signboard. It is good to park directly in the parking lot without taking a ticket.   Jamala is not in downtown Canberra, but Canberra is only a 10 minute drive to the city. If you want to live for a few more days in Canberra, I wouldn’t recommend it because of Canberra’s political attractions. A person who is not so good may not be able to comprehend some of the funny stalks that the administrator said. It takes about 2 hours to finish. There is a grandmother who needs to be taken care of by a wheelchair. The hotel and the zoo's overall barrier-free facilities are very comprehensive. Very smooth and happy~   At 4 o'clock we can finally go back to the room to rest! We live in a giraffe room, two people live in a long lemur room, and the giraffe room has a room at 4 o'clock. The administrator has a giraffe to take pictures. The giraffe room can see giraffes and deer, lemur rooms, The lemur is just outside the glass window of the room, and it’s especially cute to see people coming over and selling! We can also see the lion on the window terrace of the No. 2 lemur house. The hotel is open at 6 o'clock~ These two hours are free activities, and the zoo can visit the aquarium. Dinner🍝   Dinner is a fine dinning mode, a lot of glutinous nuts will be very particular about changing a good-looking clothes, drinking wine and snacks at the open bar on the terrace at 6 o'clock, red wine, white wine, champagne beer, the wine here is a good wine, like to drink The pot friends can open their hearts~ But you have to remember that this meal has to be eaten at 10 o'clock in the evening... Then check out~ If you want to experience a few more animals, you can live for a few more days~ However, this hotel I think if you want to live, you can choose your favorite animal room, and English must be good~ Otherwise you will feel tired and boring~ The person staying at the hotel is still a foreigner!

I had to attend a funeral in Canberra and a friend recommended this YMCA (Leumeah Lodge) in suburb of Nicholls, handy to that side of the city off the Barton Highway. This accommodation is very new. If your GPS is old, then No. 48 is not on it! It is located opposite McDonalds and behind KFC. It is lovely, spotless, nicely appointed with very helpful, friendly Reception staff. There are 58 (differing) and all non-smoking, rooms to suit most, including bunkbed rooms used by school groups. As a single, I chose the ”Queen” perfectly adequate for a couple - the room, bathroom and shower all spacious, with toiletries and hair dryer provided; the double bed was very comfortable. Air Conditioning and WiFi available with a wall mounted TV, tea/coffee bags & a kettle. There are dining facilities only for Groups but you can order a Breakfast Box the night before from Reception. Parking is available. This Lodge is far superior to many hotels I've stayed in and the cost far less! It was amazingly quiet overnight (a Thursday). I recommend this accommodation.

Liked · This hotel is in a fantastic location - walking distance to a supermarket and many cafes/restaurants. It is also only minutes from the CBD and most main attractions. The beds were comfy and the room was of decent size with the added bonus of air conditioning. Disliked · Unfortunately, this is in bad need of an upgrade. The bathroom was terrible, and not terribly clean. There were 3 of us staying with one bar of soap. Admittedly, upon check-in I was told I could go back and ask for more - but it should be there in the first place. There was no shampoo or conditioner, which is often standard even in budget hotels. Nor were there enough classes or mugs for the 3 of us staying.

We stayed here for the Easter long weekend. The room was basic but modern and clean and the bathrooms looked recently renovated and the showers were fantastic. Staff were lovely and checkin and check out was quick and easy. Beds were quite comfy as well. Unfortunately their restaurant is no longer operational but there’s plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby so that wasn’t as issue. Our “family room” turned out to be just 2 hotel rooms next door to each other, but had a door that you shut off to the hallway that you needed a key to use to open, in order to then access both hotel rooms.

The staff at Pavilion couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful in letting us change rooms and responding to requests.But this didn’t quite make up for the fact that this hotel is in need of some serious TLC. We noticed at reception a tourist excellence award from Trip Adviser from 2012, which is hardly current. On the plus side: The huge foyer area was pleasant and welcoming. The king bed was very comfortable which is the main thing, quality linen. Bathroom towels were plentiful and soft and the shower over the bath had a non-slip surface and a useful help rail to get in and out. What needs attention: The desk and table in both rooms we had were chipped, and the curtains somewhat old and worn. The darkish grey paint also did nothing to raise the energy of what was already a dark room (215) with a tree outside. No plugs were provided for the basin and the bath, though these were supplied on request The restaurant staff were great, but the chicken schnitzel we ordered was really disappointing and poor value at $35. We would also have appreciated a microwave being available, if not as standard on request, as in many hotels. Overall a disappointing experience we would not repeat.
