We’re incredibly grateful to the landlady at the pub. We went in for a late lunch today with my parents, husband, and baby daughter. Although they had stopped serving food until dinner, she kindly made an exception and served us. It’s the first time we’ve seen a restaurant do this. The food was delicious, warm, and just what we needed before our long drive home. Highly recommend this stop!

Excellent hotel, highly recommend staying here. The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Very nice village as well.

Booked a table on a Sunday evening at the last minute. The restaurant area is very pleasant, and there was a good choice on the menu plus a specials board. We chose maple glazed ham roast from the specials board, and pie of the day. The food was really good and the portions were very generous. We were too full to order desserts but we did see some lovely looking ice creams going to other tables. The only slight niggle was that the waitress slammed things down on the table, slopping our drinks.

Just had a evening meal. Dissapointing. My Burger was tasteles not the best and burnt. Packets english mustard awful dark brown colour, out of date. Chips reconstituted potatoes yuk. Salad brown and limp. No atmosphere in restaurant. Service by young lady was excellent. Shame about main dishes.

Their 3 german shepherds attacked our dogs in the beer garden, one of whom sustained injuries and we had to go to the emergency vet. Be very careful about taking your dogs to this pub. They did settle the invoice, to the owners credit, but the dogs are a liability and had escaped their garden around the front of the pub. This happened last month as per another review on here and talking to others on the neighbouring campsite.

Arrived to a bit mix up with booking couldn’t read the person who had took booking. All sorted got our table menu was very good for country hotel staff very new but very pleasant and helpful. One starter ordered received fairly quick it was beautiful next course took reasonable time but was w Met with a fantastic fish home made chips and steaks cooked to perfection beautiful. Sticky toffee pudding to die for. All in all definitely go back very clean and no rush. Fantastic family run restaurant don’t judge first appearance.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Although the room was clean, the shower cubicle had a lot of mould. None of the room wall lights worked. The pillows were flat & I needed 3! The room was over the kitchen and was noisy throughout the night- some kind of fan/boiler on all night. I didn’t realise the breakfast was not included so paid £10 for scrambled eggs on toast- expensive.

Went for meal Sunday evening my wife had gammon and enjoyed it my daughter had a pen pasta in a tomato sauce dry and no cheese I had home-made chicken ham in a mustard and cream sauce it was that salty could only eat about half then had to give up. Complained to staff when when one eventually came to clear table was told he would let chief know never saw him again . Complained to owner when paying bill got a sorry about that and walked away. Service needs to be improved if they expect customers to return.
