We got a very last minute deal so I am not complaining about the price however the whole room and bathroom needed to be ripped out and redone. The cleanliness was good, clean sheets/towels/kettle/cups etc however the interior such as the carpets and wallpaper really need sorting. Our bathroom was absolutely freezing, all very old, rusty and small. The best thing was the mirror. The staff were lovely, the morning breakfast was good. Nothing fancy but a full English and good slice of toast. Overall we won’t be heading back but so much potential!

I'm writing this while looking out over Hawes main street as the village wakes up, full of a good breakfast and looking forward to the day ahead. That's about all you can ask of a small local hotel, isn't it? Lovely friendly welcome, immaculate room, excellent value. I wish this place every success and I hope to return.

I've been coming to Hawes for 40 years. For the last 25 I've stayed in Cocketts. Beautiful old building, lovely food and rooms. It's now under new ownership and is better than ever. Toni and Rob could not be more welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you love old buildings, it's fantastic.

Never been to Hawes before and what a lovely village. Staying at the Cockettes Hotel and what a find. Room is beautiful (The Wenslydale) very comfortable, memory foam mattress bed, TV, Tea and Coffee facility, bathroom has bath with shower. Highly recommended.

The hotel is nice and cosy. My bedroom was overlooking the main street, which I liked. The room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, - there was not a big choice tough, when it came to the breakfast choice, in my opinion.

My wife and always come to Hawes in October to celebrate her birthday always a great little hotel to stay at especially if the front bar is open .Room are lovely and breakfast extant. So if you’re looking to go to Hawes we would highly recommend the Crocketts hotel.

The staff were very welcoming and the hotel was a lovely refreshing stop with a lots of space and warmth. Along with the breakfast the morning after, which was a pleasant surprise, this hotel was well worth the price. Definitely coming back!

Spent a couple of nights there recently. Email confirming reservation said £77 to pay when I checked out. Paid that on leaving but on checking my credit card statement saw they'd separately charged me an additional £53. Tried emailing with no response and automated message saying number not available whenever I tried to ring although both the email address and phone number were the ones on the reservation confirmation. All very suspicious to my way of thinking. Luckily paid on credit card and they reimbursed the £53.
