This is a lovely old building which has clearly seen better days and is now in need of a serious upgrade. All the decor and furnishings are tired, and you get the impression the owner has lost the will to make any changes. He confirmed to us verbally that they no longer provide breakfast on the grounds of expense, and advised us to go over the road to the leisure centre for this. Although the leisure centre has a cafe, they don't serve breakfast, and we ended up walking half a mile up the road to a very large Tesco (which incidentally does a very good breakfast in its cafe). I'm glad we were only staying one night.......

Smelly, uncomfortable and dirty. As soon as I walked through the door it smelt. The springs on the bed made it very uncomfortable. The floor in the dining room was sticky. Absolutely awful. I can’t imagine how there are positive reviews. We asked for an early breakfast (7am) and were told that he didn’t get up that early. So we asked for some fruit and bread to be put out for us. He told us that he didn’t get fruit in as it was too expensive. We left without having any of the breakfast and in hindsight were relieved that we didn’t have breakfast. I can’t imagine the proprietor cooking for us. Yuk. I will not be returning or recommending. Do not book.

Awful . Grimy unkempt and smells grimy as soon as you walk in the door . I have only ever given one other guest house a bad review … this one is the worst i have ever stayed it . The owner Colin, is disinterested and mentioned he has sold the property but ticking along until new owner takes it on . The lack of TLC is apparent from the moment you step over the threshold . We were met by a grumpy Colin who did not appear interested in his guests at all . The building is old - fair enough but the furnishings , bedding and shower are also very dated. Pillows seen better days . The mattresses are very old The curtains - well i have thrown out better. Couldn’t wait to leave .we left a day early . Breakfast mediocre , tasteless eggs , bacon cooked too long . We arrived at breakfast 5 mins early - got grunted at by Colin that we were 10 mins early . I pointed to the clock , it was only 5 mins early - he promptly pulled out a chair and struggled onto it - and changed the clock back 10 mins !! . I read many reviews re this place - always giving the benefit of the doubt some people are ridiculously fussy - but 4 STAR THIS AIN’T … We will be complaining to Booking. Com - Don’t go to this Guest house !

Great value for money. Clean and spacious room. I stayed in room 1 and woke to the sound of bird song. A perfect location as quiet but a short walk in to town. The owner Colin could not have been more helpful and welcoming and the breakfast delicious. My complements to the chef.

We stayed while on a cycling trip. Very pleased with our spacious, comfortable room, also the location of an usual and very pleasant, historic property. Helpful and friendly owners and a good breakfast provided.

For the price paid this was good value for money. We found it handy having a fridge in the room, and the beds were so comfortable! The hairdryer was brilliant, which is rare for hotels/B&Bs. The breakfast was also bang on, with plenty of options if you don’t fancy a cooked breakfast. If I was being picky, I would say plugs being accessible would have been handy, both me and my friend had to crawl under the beds to charge our phones. The tiles in the bathroom weren’t stuck to the floor, and the water pressure in the shower was poor. I think £2 for 24 hour parking across the road is a bargain personally. The wifi was also very good, and connectivity great. Overall, good value, would stay again if I was in the area. Although, warning, there seems to be literally nowhere to eat in the evening in Haverfordwest.

Pleasant owner, accommodating of late arrival. Basic2/3 star room, reminded us of a hostel. Average breakfast nothing to write home about. Noticed floors in dining area were unclean. Dated guest house. Probably wouldn't stay again, wish them luck. Spotted guest homes closer to Skomer on the route over.
