The Iberostar Grand Packard, remains the Cullian Diamond of Havana’s luxury hotel scene. With its impressive exterior, which blends Neoclassical architecture with futuristic design, and its alluring, royal-like Art Deco interior, it definitely captures the attention of architecture and interior design lovers, while giving you the impression of being in a boutique hotel rather than a large resort. One of its many highlights is the expansive pool and bar area on the sixth floor. Boasting one of Havana’s best views of the El Moro castle, the Bay of Havana and the Gulf of Mexico, the infinity pool is the epitome of relaxation, as are the pool beds and chairs surrounding it. The spacious and contemporary-looking rooms are customized to perfection, with large beds, couches, chairs, bathrooms, and views of the legendary Prado boulevard, the sea, and the rest of Havana. Another key asset is the staff who have been nothing but extremely welcoming and helpful, catering to our needs. The hotel always offers a large buffet with fresh ingredients daily, including rare fruits some of which I have never seen before. The cigar and piano bars are also fun to hang out at, meeting new people and having jovial conversations with staff. Staying at the Packard, you cannot help but feel rejuvenated, even after the first night. It is a definite recommend.
