I was here for a weekend ,but this hotel necessarily needs to close and repair more than anything. The lack of air condition in common areas like lobby, hallways, restaurants and club makes the stay very uncomfortable. The room was ok because the aircondition there was the only thing good.Beds medium quality and two instead og a king I asked for.No water bottle not even as a welcoming courtesy so if you are like me arriving late from airport better bring you water from your country because everything is closed .There is a tv in the room that cannot be seen because is damaged so concentrate in the city view. The restaurant menu not good and expensive and the elevator is a challenge to take and imagine in floor 23 you need it.Breakfast was good and the best service given by the old waiters so professional I think it was the only impressive thing in this hotel. The pool full of nationals that pay to be in ad consume but they yell at all time or you cannot get in because they are by pool stairs kissing and hugging very disgusting performances in a place like this.No body cares about turists and pool beds are really dirty too.I decided to go to the club on Saturday for some music and almost didnt let me in because it was reserved for young suppossedly university students after I had to get two stairs to go floor 25th due to elevator not coming for 40 minutes. If you want to get a nigh**are stay in Havana so here is the place.

Our room is big with big glass window overlooking the city plus ocean. It’s beautiful hotel just only bad maintenance, workers very few English speaking, food salty, safe with guards , location is busy streets , restaurant in same hotel , bar is downstairs but the singing group entertainment asking for money/tips, sells their CD, I love Cuba their culture, they love dollars coz it’s strong, Be ready to speak Spanish very few English, cheap goods , dollar is equal 280 to 300 pesos , hotel maid will leave a note to give her tips coz she work daily to clean the room .

Nigh**are at the hotel. No hot water on the first night. WIFI sporadic, multiple log ins and outs. They changed the breakfast area in a really bad area, artificial light. Really bad coffee, the guy at the egg preparation station not experienced and awfully slow. At the pool thay ask you for a deposit of 1500 CUP for some really tattered towels.

This hotel was the first i stayed at when my Cuba travels began - and it had worried for the rest of my trip. So many things with regards to this hotel were okay - nothing to note, but the total disregard for firesafety in this 20+ story hotel was SCARY! I would not have known this if it wasn't for the fact that none of the hotels 6 elevators were working! (I stayed there for 3 nights and the maximum number of working elevators was 2/6, sometimes non at all) This lack of working elevators meant using the stairs when I had to get to and from my room on the 22nd floor! This stairwell was also the fire escape with connecting fire escape doors on each floor. Many of these floors were under renovation, but all the fire doors had been left open!! Any fire would have spread so fast as a result of this - and it left me very scared. I would not recommend anyone to stay here, unfortunately.

I recently visited Havana,Cuba,I stayed for 2 nights at the Havana Libre hotel, both the hotel, and Havana itself are beautiful and worth visiting, however,I stayed in a room on the 23rd floor,it turned out that on one of the floors above me,was a disco, that boomed music until 4 in the morning,on the two nights I was there I got no sleep. The first night I just took it as just being in Cuba, and it was probably to be expected, the second night,I reported it to reception, they said they would look into it,I think that was as far as it went,I left after that.So be warned,if you stay there, stay on the lower floors

I want to highlight the fantastic service provided by Mme Juana and Mme Elisa, both working in the restaurant of the hotel. The hotel in general is good and the workers are fine but we're very well treated by these 2 persons.

The hotel is very old and while we were there a pipe burst which cause hallways to flood and the elevators to stop working so we checked out early. We walked down 24 flights of stairs as it was obvious the elevators would not be fixed anytime soon. This was the second time the elevators stopped working the 5 days we were there. We learned that the elevators also stopped working in May 2023. Obviously the Hotel is not willing to properly fix them. It's a pity because the rooms are nice, spacious, beds comfortable. Breakfast is good. So the Hotel is not deserving of a 4 start rating anymore.

The room conditions and cleaning are poor and need repairments. The bed is very unconfortable and in general the service is poor. At diner the drinks available were Lemon Juice, beer or water, nothing more. The restaurants near by are much better.
