I stopped here for the night on my way to Key West FL. I had stayed here before on a similar trip. Just from the start I was greeted by Skylar, I believe was her name. She was friendly and attentive. She was also training another staff member also with a nice personality. The room was spotless and rates were reasonable. I will definitely stay there again on my return.

I was so impressed with the customer service at this hotel, it far surpasses any hotel I've stayed at in a very long time. The day before my arrival they called me to let me know the elevator wasn't working and may not be repaired by the time I arrived and gave me the option of canceling but I was so impressed that they actually called me I told them I would stay anyway. I'm very glad we did, while the hotel is a bit older and showing some small signs of wear there were a lot of updates to the room and it was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, fluffy pillows, nice large flat screen TV. After I checked in I received a text saying if there was anything at all I needed to make my stay better to just let them know. I have never had a hotel contact me after the check in at the desk to say this. Their sign says they may be small but they have excellent customer service and they do! I definitely would recommend staying there, great value and service!

This hotel is very clean. We stopped on our way to our vacation destination, and we liked it enough to book again on our way back home. Both times I called the front desk on the day of our arrival and asked for a room in a specific location, and both times the receptionist was very kind, and helpful, and made sure my request was accommodated. We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning before we left, and the breakfast variety was outstanding, and well stocked. Jennette was the one handling breakfast both mornings we were there and she has the absolute kindest personality, and makes you feel very welcomed. She's a delight to talk with also, if you get a chance. The tables, and floors, and food areas were kept clean through breakfast. My son was very happy with the pancake machine, and ended up going back for seconds. The rooms were quiet and the beds and sheets were very comfortable. And I really like how the blackout curtain is designed so that there is very little light leakage. The room had multiple lighting options so you can have a child go to sleep earlier and not have that side of the room lit up, which was very nice for us. We would definitely stay here again in the future if we were coming through again.

Hattiesburg Mississippi The room was in poor repair, the hot tub stopper didn't work. It was visibility dirty, the lamp was so bent at the base it rocked, the laundry was in the stairwell in front of the door so if you were doing laundry you must have to move everyone someone needs to get to or from the 2nd floor, and the staff were ok I guess until I overslept and the manager called my room at 5 till 11,which was checkout, thus woke me, I answered the phone he asked if I was leaving. I said yes I am sorry I overslept, let me get my things together and get dressed and I will be up to check out, I am a diamond member and get free late check-out upon request, well I consider that conversation a reasonable request, it was going to take me roughly 10 to 15 minutes, well almost immediately the cleaning staff started beating on the door, I called to them I overslept and was getting dressed and packing as quickly as possible, they said ok, then in less than 5 minutes were back beating on the door, by this time I was dressed except my shoes, I opened the door and toes them I was getting my things into my bag and would be out in a few minutes, they said you got to talk to the manager, I told them I did and was trying to get my things and if they would stop harassing me it would go much faster, I closed the door and went back to getting my things together which included packing a cpap machine, before 5 minutes passed the manager was beating on the door threatening to call the police to get me out, at this point I was furious, I just yelled I am getting things hold on I am on my way. They kept beating and yelling, once I finally got packed up I opened the door told them I had never been treated so poorly and I reminded them I qualified for free late checkout the manager first said he didn't do that, I said if you are part of Wyndham you need to follow thier rules if you want to get the binifits of being a member, then he said you have to request it, I said I did when you called and woke me up. He said basically that didn't count, that I has to do it earlier. I said how would I know if I was going to overslept earlier? He kept yelling and blaming me. Once I told him I hadn't been treated so poorly in all my years of stays with Wyndham, and I would file a complaint and review them online, he offered to carry my bag, I told him I would rater die trying to drag my bag out then let him help me at this point. When I got to my car it was 11:22. I drove up and got my receipt took down his name which was Patel or do he said and he told me to get out, I told him don't worry and he would never get another one of my dollars ever. And I hope my reviews warn others, I hope my complaint to Wyndham spur some sort of discipline to this roach motel, it is a black eye on the Wyndham brand and they seriously need to address it. Btw the breakfast was honeybuns and frosted flakes the milk was a Gallon sitting on the counter unrefridgerated, not on ice or anything.

I was charged for a night after I cancelled PER THE POLICY within the grace period. I attached photos of the cancellation policy and the a screen shot of my cancellation email. I called once the payment posted to get the charge reversed and have been given the run around ever since. After 2 or 3 calls I finally got a return call from the GM on 12/18 who said she was unaware… this was an easy fix… she didn’t know why it wasn’t handled, etc. After she found out I was a manager at one time for both Hilton and Marriott, she even jokingly asked me to come work for her because she needed help. After reading these reviews, I see why. She assured me the refund would be issued but it would a take a few days. So I waited until after Christmas. The refund never came, so I called the hotel again and Bella (front desk agent I assume) made up a lie about the reservation being “locked out” because too much time had passed. I told her this is not a thing. I have been told everything from you cancelled too late (which I did not as you can see from the photos) to the refund is on the way (I was told this by Bella on one occasion. Then I asked for an updated folio which I never got and once by the GM), to now a made up story about “too much time has passed.” I called corporate and she agreed that “too much time has passed so it is locked” is not a thing. Corporate escalated it to her boss because the property REFUSES to issue the refund. What a circus of a hotel. Buyer beware. I am still awaiting my refund and hopefully corporate Marriott does their part and keeps their promise to get this fixed.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 star because I can definitely hear people in the rooms around mine. Overall it’s a very nice hotel. The staff is friendly and help solved problems that occurred. Gym is well equipped and I love the all day coffee!
