The owner was very friendly and the bathrooms, although small, were nice. The room was large and we really liked the kimono they leave you with.

Absolutely loved staying in this family run ryokan. The owner is from the fifteenth generation of family ownership of this inn and makes delicious 7 course dinners and breakfast. [The food is some of the best you will have in Japan. They were very accommodating of food restrictions.]His wife is a lovely, very friendly host. The rooms are traditional Japanese style. It is conveniently located a block off the Main Street and close to the shrine. Highly recommend this place to stay while in Miyajima. .

Ryokan 10 minutes from the pier and just a few minutes from the floating Torii. We were very comfortable in this Ryokan. The room was very nice and we slept very comfortably on their futons. They give you two Yukatas for you to use during your stay. It has two onsen that you can reserve at reception to share with your partner in private. We had a reservation with breakfast included and I have to say that it was spectacular. They treated us wonderfully and made sure we had a good breakfast all the time. On the other hand, I have to highlight the kindness of the owner, Yoko, and her husband. On the one hand, the day we checked out we were caught in a tremendous downpour while we were on the island and she allowed us to dry ourselves in the bathroom. She also called her husband to bring us to the ferry with his car because it was raining very heavily. I would definitely repeat and stay here again a thousand times. Thanks to Yoko, her husband and the cook for everything.

I stayed here for one night to listen to a concert that took place at Itsukushima Shrine in the evening. It is located on a back street of souvenirs, so it is convenient for sightseeing and shopping. The building has a sense of history. When I was shown to the room, I felt uneasy because it was old and dark. However, as time passed, I started to feel its goodness. The room was cleaned beautifully. There were objects placed here and there. The landlady's consideration made me feel like I was at a relative's house. I booked a room only, but I got breakfast for 1650 yen. It was very delicious, the dishes and presentation were nice, and I ended up leaving about the amount of dinner. The chopsticks were easy to use, so I bought them for my husband and me. I'm glad I got breakfast. There are two shared baths, and you can lock them and bathe each person for about 40 minutes. The baths are tiled and the water is left running, so it was nice and refreshing to relieve fatigue. Please note that payment is only cash.
