Hotel is very basic. It’s close to a McDonalds for breakfast and Sainsbury’s for things you may need. The hotel is not so well insulated for sound and can be noisy.

Positive - the bed was comfortable. The staff were pleasant. The petrol station opposite is cheap. Negatives (significant) - The room was freezing on arrival. It did heat up but took so long I ended up overheating as I fell asleep while it was still cold. The shower also did not work - it was cold and was literally a dribble that fell straight down onto the tap below so not feasible to wash in. I told the receptionist who apologised. I subsequently emailed but have had no response nor offer of any refund at all.

Exactly as expected. The rooms and shared areas are clean, everything works and the staff are friendly but absent after check in.. Good mattresses, quiet for sleep, rooms have individual air conditioners which work albeit slowly and there’s plenty of hot water at good pressure. The onsite restaurant is good, basic pub food served by a friendly team. Located by a busy main road which might disturb some and close to a Sainsbury’s and McDonalds on the edge of town.

Large room, adequate bathroom, comfy bed, clean! Excellent staff both on front of house and in the restaurant and bar. They have a good sense of humour too. Stayed last year and the main meals have improved immensely. Very pleased,! Keep the current chefs!

Fantastic stay for family of 4. Quiet location with the convenience of Sainsbury’s and McDonald’s right next door. We were greeted by a gentleman named Joe, he was very warm and welcoming and informative regarding the heavy traffic leading onto the A21.

The best beds ever! Super comfy. The room was probably the quietest room in a hotel I have ever stayed in. I had a room on the top floor at the back of the hotel. There are lifts to each floor, though sometimes a short wait. On-site restaurant a bonus.
