I do NOT like bed and breakfasts. The Winstead changed my entire perspective. I called at the last minute as a solo guest to a wedding in the area. They were kind, helpful and accommodating. I arrived at 2am after a 6 hour drive and it felt like coming home as soon as I pulled into the driveway (parking lot). I walked out of my room and on to the beach and then walked down the street to have brunch and shop downtown. I could not have asked for a better experience.

The Winstead Beach Resort is hands down our preferred destination when on the Cape! My only disappointment is having to leave and come back to reality! Truly a heaven on earth vibe with incredible panoramic ocean views inside our room (#8) as well as the dining area! Friendly staff and Doug is the absolute best of the best when it comes to running a top of the line establishment! I recommend 10,000 stars 5 is not enough! Thank you to Doug for providing such a wonderful escape from the world for us at the Winstead Beach Resort! On our frequent return list for sure!!!!!!

The Winstead has two properties in Harwich on Cape Cod, we stayed in their Beach Resort ( the other property is a mile away, not on the beach). It was very quiet in mid-October and I think they are closing up for the winter as of the end of the month. But what a beautiful location and the property is totally squared away, pristine in every way. The water views and surprisingly, the sunsets, were gorgeous. I could wish we had stayed here for a week or 10 days. Lots to do in Cape Cod and both Harwich and nearby Chatham are very quaint Cape Cod classic towns. I had no idea that Harwich was so cool when I booked the stay. Kudos to the young Turkish student/man who was always available to help us, so polite and willing to go the extra mile. He set up a full continental breakfast early each morning so it was ready to go for the guests. Thank you Winstead Beach Resort!

We enjoyed our four day stay at the beach house. The Beach house was perfect location with ocean views and private beach. We also enjoyed the breakfast each day with a nice variety of healthy options. The staff was also very nice, attentive and efficient. Overall it was a great get away for us and will return soon.

Pros: spotlessly clean room and comfy beds. Good quality breakfast, with a selection of pastries and cereals. Cons: other than at breakfast, there were no facilities to have any drinks, not even a bottle of water in the room - very disappointing given the price.

The beach was great, clean and not crowded. The breakfast was great and the staff was very accommodating. The rooms were beautiful, clean and fresh. The bed and pillows were excellent. Pretty reasonable pricing for what you get. Will stay there in the future.

This seaside quaint vintage cape hotel was exactly what we were looking for. On the beach, tranquil, beautiful sunsets, very nice continental breakfast and an extremely attentive staff! I will definitely return and would highly recommend!

Love the pool, the staff was friendly, lots of flowers on the grounds, not too expensive and the breakfast was in a charming comfortable room. this is a good place to stay if you are traveling up the Cape, and Harwich has a coupe good food places too.
