We stayed for a couple of nights in this fantastic, stylish B&B. Our host was extremely accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to meet Maude the cat! Breakfast was amazing, especially the freshly laid eggs. Hartington is beautiful with some fabulous walks in the area. We would love to return again and would definitely stay in Parson's House.

The Parsons house is a little B&B in Hartington in the peak district, when you arrive it's very un assuming but inside is very quaint, David the owner gives you a wonderful welcome, there is no tv and David is on hand to make a cup of any hot drink you require, the room are very well decorated and cosy, my wife and we're celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary and it was one of the most relaxing 3 days I can remember, the breakfast is one of the nicest I've had, all fresh, Hartington is a wonderful little village going back to at least 17th century, both worth a visit, thankyou David and your wife for a great relaxing weekend 😀

This was certainly a different B & B. The room was comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for David. Tea & Coffee making facilities were not in the room, but each time we came in David offered us Tea or Coffee and always with shortbread. The shower was a rain shower, overhead and we could not really use because of ear problems, so had ***** washes. There was a room with a bath and if we came again would request that. The shower and toilet had obviously been built into the room that was there before and the sides of the shower was wooden, which was different. Everything was clean and David and his partner gave us good local information. You can park your car in the small drive. The village is lovely and the Devonshire pub well worth a visit for drinks and or food. The decor was interesting and imaginative. There was no TV in the room, which after dinner we missed, but I guess some would not. Well worth a try if you are staying in this beautiful village and was very reasonable priced.

We have just come back from the most relaxing stay at the Parsons House B & B. As soon as we arrived we was made welcome and was asked if we wanted a hot drink. We was then shown to our room upstairs. The room is very homely and cozy. We did not miss having a tv in the room and we quite enjoyed having the radio on. With the area not getting a phone signal other than when we was on the wifi at the B & B it felt like a nice detox . Ive not felt this relax in a while. Dave made a lovely breakfast and could not do enough for you, checking we was happy with everything. We went for a walk which as amazing views. We went round the village and vised the gift shop, cheese shop and had a cake & hot drink at the farm shop. Also visited both Devonshire arms and the Charles Cotton Hotel for a few drinks and food.

Our 2 night break was a Xmas gift from our daughters and what a find . Parson House was both quirky and reflected David our host’s unique and welcoming character . His attention to detail and personal touches made our brief stay one to remember . Would highly recommend a visit to Parson House and a welcome also from Maude the cat! Thank you David for the best cup of tea ever! Hope to return . Paul and Julie Staffordshire

Amazing B&B. David was a great host and provided us with a tea/coffee tray before breakfast and in the afternoon. Beautifully decorated room and the best breakfast we’ve ever had at a B&B. Would recommend anyone to stay there for a great base for the Peak District (Dovedale walk starts right opposite the B&B)

My partner and I stayed here for the weekend and were very impressed by the location, the building, the quirky room design and most of all the attentive and friendly owner David. We stayed in the double ground floor room which had a very large comfortable bed and a lovely deep bath in the en-suite. There was no shower but I prefer a bath anyway. There was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room as David is always available to make these for you and deliver to your room. The breakfast was great too. A full English beautifully displayed on the plate. Other options available including scrambled egg and smoked trout. Parking on the drive or on the road was easy and there are a variety of lovely walks directly next to the B&B. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and hope to return soon.
