Premier is was amazing experience. Very helpful staff and manager when needed and very polite. Breakfast was nice and glad the staff helped me out with the breakfast in the morning due to me not having them added on and issues. I also liked the fact the staff were not fussed about my children been noisy and running around due to there ages. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Would recommend to family and friends and will be certainly coming back with my family again.

I'll be quick. Good check in, good standard of room good night sleep comfy bed, nice view, Breakfast was shocking it absolutely needs someone running the show in a morning. No coordination what so ever. No fresh fruit! Very little pastries and just slow in every sense of the word. The young lad I spoke to was way above his pay grade, didn't have a clue. No plates, no eggs, every table was stacked high with dirty plates etc. 1 lady running around trying her best to clear them but no if this was my show to be run I'd be standing there making sure everyone knew exactly what they should be doing but no one to be seen absolute sugar show.

On arrival neither check in machines were working, there was no sense of urgency from staff and we missed a business meeting due to waiting over an hour to check in. My premier plus room was horrid, an unmade grey single bed in the corner of the room, it was just grim and way below par for a Premier Inn. On arriving back one afternoon, my key card wasn't working, there were no visible staff either on reception or behind the bar so I ended up shouting in the reception to ask if anyone worked here. I would not return to this premier inn, not a good experience and I was glad to leave after my 2 night stay and regretted not booking into the Hilton where my colleagues were staying

Stayed last week for the weekend. Hotel situation was is a great place with ideal car park next door. On arrival upon entering there was nobody to be seen waited for 10 minutes for the receptionist. Room was on the second floor the room had not been hovered from the previous guest even found 52p under the bed. The bath towel had seen better days.

I arrived late at night with my little one and checked in around 23:00. I was offered room 103 and I was hoping Premier Inn would live up to its end of the bargain which was to give me a good nights sleep which I didn’t get. Room 103 was next to some staff/store room of sorts that was continually being entered during the night, there was a loud refrigerator type noise that I wasn’t sure if it was from the air con that I needed to use to heat the room as it was freezing and there were no heaters in the room, or that staff/store room next door. The tap in the bathroom made a horrible squeaky noise whilst it ran and got louder the longer you had the tap on, and the nail in the coffin was that even though the hotel clearly states no on site parking, there were cars parked right next to my window where a car alarm kept going off in the middle of the night and made the whole experience absolutely horrific!!

Overall poor in comparison to other Premier Inn's we have stayed at. Room needed a deep clean as there were areas of thick dust around the edge and in corners of the room. Clearly the hoover struggled to get into these but managed central areas okay. The breakfast - on weekend advertised until 11am - when we arrived just before 10.30 some items were looking rather unappetising on the hot counter, the mushrooms were cold, the tomatoes barely warm. other items luke warm. Only thing HOT was black pudding. The breakfast area was very quiet but have been to others where not many people booked in and they choose to do cooked items to order in this situation.

Couldn't find anywhere to park and was told on arrival they use a council parking space so it's 25 pounds a night on top of what you have paid for. (Annoying) Room was good, clean and well kept aside for one of the walls missing some painting. My main reason I rated so low was the restaurant. First thing I was told is that one of the chefs was screaming at a waitress and that they had a meal off the menu and no peas left. (Should have been my sign to leave). I waited 20 minutes for 2 drinks and keep in mind it was a Sunday evening and very quiet. My meals took around 40 mins to arrive, and at no point was I told of a wait on food. My pasta was cold immediately on the table and my sharing platter was missing an item. I pointed this out to the manager who came back with some extra bits about 10 mins later. This did soften the blow and I made sure to eat it all as I completely understand that sometimes things happen that are out of your control and human beings are only human. A drink was knocked off my overall bill which was also appreciated but I do think that had I been made aware of the situation or even had someone check everything was okay with my meal it wouldn't have come too that especially since we are talking about a £40 experience. Aside from this unpleasant experience it's a hotel worth checking out and perfect for location and travel. - Harry Fryer
