I was visiting a friend at a local university and stayed overnight. I booked a hotel with high ratings. It was said to be the best hotel in the area a few years ago. It is located in the university town, with a good environment and many restaurants across the street. It is very convenient compared to many other places in the United States where you have to go several kilometers away after leaving the hotel.

We arrived late at night to the hotel, and the staff that checked us in were very helpful and kind. The rooms were really clean, the beds were comfortable, and even though our room was by the elevators, it was quiet throughout the night.
What would have made our stay great was if the coffee served the next morning was good. Unfortunately the coffee was extremely weak with little flavor so that first cup had to be found elsewhere( a little detail to some but to a coffee lover- a game changer:)
All in all, the hotel was a nice place to stay and also a quick drive to JMU which is why we had come into town in the first place.

Generally poor cleanliness. Outside areas full of garbage and cigarette butts.
Breakfast completely unedible. Specifically the hot items were overcooked.
Tables were not clean so finding a place to enjoy the inedible food was difficult.
Room was broken. Huge cracks in bathroom. Door frame and door was not plum which provided a nice qtr inch gap whereby people could litterly look right into your room if they wanted to. AC unit did not work.

Stayed at the place for one night while visiting JMU. The hotel is clean and in a good location. Comfortable beds and decent breakfast.

Guest elevator was not working so we had to walk up two flights to our room. Front desk gave a room discount without my asking.

Please give me a refund.
I did not stay here and requested a refund. The room smelled musty and made it hard for me to breathe. I changed room and it was no different. The smell was awful. Which is why i left and went somewhere else for the night.

We will definitely stay again. Great staff, rooms are very clean and bed was very comfortable.
Only issue was no USB ports in the room.
