(Yes, children are included in the count.)*** The inn is completely furnished, and professionally decorated. Original structure was built in 1865 with addition and total renovation in 2009. Enjoy the tranquil country setting from the spacious covered porch - complete with ceiling fans and rocking chairs. Offering four bedrooms. Jet tubs in two of the bathrooms, clawfoot tub and shower in the other. One bedroom available on the main level. One king size bed, two full size beds, two twin beds. All linens are furnished. Fully equipped kitchen. Xfinity cable TV & WI-FI. 3000 square feet of living space for your enjoyment. All situated on 21 picturesque acres. Great location only 3.5 miles from the heart of downtown Abingdon, VA. Available for short term rental only. Two day minimum. No pets, no smoking.
***Please note there are cats on the property. They are feral and have never been inside. I am allergic to cats. You will however, sometimes see them on the porches. Peaceful country haven
Donna is a great hostess! The house is beautiful, large and cosy rooms, and the best part: a peaceful & secluded scape just a few minutes outside the city. A perfect place to unplug from society/ the world and relax. We not only recommend this place but also are looking forward for returning here! Ps: and the kittens are so sweet.

Wonderful house in a quiet beautiful setting
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this well-appointed, comfortably renovated and furnished farm house with a nice kitchen and nice bathrooms. The location is stunning with the beautiful mountain farm lands, fields and pastures surrounding the house.

Charming farmhouse setting
A MAGNIFICENT remodel of an old farmhouse with detailed craftsmanship throughout. FULLY equipped with all of the comforts. Loved sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee looking out to a centuries old maple tree…southwest Virginia setting at its best. Probably my best VRBO booking ever…

Historic and gorgeous rural home
Beautiful rural landscapes surround this 19th century farmhouse that was once at the heart of the county poor farm. Lots of modern updates, but they have kept the historic charm. Friendly cats, grazing sheep, and the magnificent bold spring round out the scene.

Historic property.
Wonderful property. A house with a story. We loved it, found it peaceful and cozy. Beautiful land and grounds surrounding the house. Donna is a gem. Perfect host. The proximity to town a bonus. We look forward to coming again.

Wonderful Abingdon getaway
My friend and I stayed 2 nights and definitely will be going back. Our host was very thorough, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. We knew exactly what to expect throughout and had nothing but great interactions with her. The property is lovely, located in the gorgeous, winding country roads of Abingdon. The house is charming and very comfortable with lots of fascinating history. The weather was beautiful so we spent a lot of time of the front porch with the stray cats, who are little charmers all on their own. We went into town for dinner and shopping (lots of neat shops -- check out Zephyr's for antiques). Went to The Girl and The Raven for breakfast. Strenuously recommend! Truly couldn't have been a better experience all 'round.

Wonderful Farmhouse
This charming and comfortable restored/updated farmhouse has interesting antiques and vintage items throughout the house. The 3 bathrooms are roomy and conveniently located. The 4 bedrooms are comfortable. The updated kitchen has ample dishes and cookware. There ate also some very inviting outside areas. It's also just minutes away from Barter Theater. I highly recommend it!

Great getaway
The property is just as advertised. Very quite location, lots of wildlife to watch. Peaceful, a great escape.
