KKantoufengyunbianhuanThis stay was a last-minute decision. After a not-so-great experience at another hotel (near St. Sophia Cathedral) the night before, I booked this place on a whim, and it far exceeded my expectations. From the service to the facilities, I felt like I'd made the right choice.
Let's start with the most immediate impression: the check-in experience. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly professional. He clearly and smoothly explained the check-in process, actively informed me about the hotel's services and important details, without any delays. This instantly relieved the rush of 'finding a last-minute room.' Since check-in was at 2 PM, and I was moving over from another place relatively early, they didn't make me wait or pay extra. They had a room available and let me check in right away, which was very thoughtful.
Upon entering the room, my first thought was how stylish the facilities were, especially the smart controls, which were incredibly convenient. Just by saying 'Xiao Du Xiao Du,' I could control the lights, air conditioning, and other appliances without having to search for switches. For someone who dislikes hassle like me, this was fantastic. The in-room amenities also felt high-quality; the cotton slippers were soft and comfortable, showing attention to detail. However, there was a minor drawback: the hairdryer was an old model, not only looking a bit worn but also having an unstable stand, requiring me to hold it while using. It would be great if they could update it. Additionally, I booked a windowless room, which was a budget-driven choice, but thankfully the ventilation was good. I didn't feel stuffy or oppressed. If my budget allows next time, I'd like to try a room with a window; I'm sure the experience would be even better.
What left the deepest impression was the thoughtful service from the housekeeping lady. On the day of check-in, I temporarily requested two extra towels and bath towels. To my surprise, during the second cleaning, she quietly replenished them under the sink without me having to ask again. This 'silent service' that doesn't require repeated reminders felt particularly kind and warm.
The hotel's location is also unbeatable. It's very close to Central Street, within walking distance, and many popular attractions are concentrated nearby. It was incredibly convenient for sightseeing, eating, and taking photos during the day, saving a lot of travel time.
Regarding breakfast, honestly, I didn't have high expectations initially. The actual spread was decent, above average, and much better than the previous hotel I stayed at. For a quick breakfast, it was perfectly adequate.
Overall, this last-minute stay was a pleasant surprise. I especially want to commend the service from the front desk and the housekeeping lady. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Harbin, and I recommend it to friends who want to stay near Central Street and value good service and value for money.
Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of the hotel room, so I'll share some pictures of the nearby Central Street instead.
