Metropark International Hotel Harbin World Happy City

Jiangbei University Town
It’s a beautiful hotel with the location that is not too far out. The staff however needs to improve their service. We were really disappointed with the front desk staff who were not friendly, not helpful with luggage and didn’t answer the questions we had about the area.
Shangri-La Songbei, Harbin

Ice and Snow World/The Sun Island
Overall, the service at Harbin Shangri-La is good. The only thing to criticize here is the front desk staff wearing black uniforms who checked in at noon on the 17th! I had made a reservation for a quiet room, but when I went upstairs, I discovered it was a connecting room! Why give a non-standard room with worse soundproofing than a normal room without prior consent from the guest? For this reason, I spent 30 minutes to change rooms! (I would like to commend the female staff member who helped me move up and downstairs twice and ran in with a birthday cake to rearrange my room.) After a long journey, I wanted to go to a hotel to rest, but I still had to worry about such a simple thing! Compared with the enthusiastic service attitude of employees in other departments, the service at this front desk is very stiff. It is recommended to focus on retraining! I would also like to commend the concierge who was responsible for loading and unloading luggage and the female staff in the executive lounge who were responsible for reception on the morning of the 18th, the aunt who was responsible for cleaning on the 17th on the luxury loft floor, and the boys who were responsible for the omelette area in the breakfast room on the first floor. The staff (he cooks porridge and omelette by himself, and is responsible for a large area) are very dedicated, enthusiastic and courteous! Special praise for the birthday cake given by the western restaurant. The packaging and materials are very good, especially the cream part. Compared with the cake given by Changchun Shangri-La where I stayed the next day, the taste and ingredients are a little inferior.
JW Marriott Hotel Harbin River North

Ice and Snow World/The Sun Island
Very beautiful hotel with amazing view on the river. Very wide choice for breakfast both Chinese and Western style. Only thing to improve was room service since food was not very good and was delivered in plastic boxes, but it was also the first day of the year, so it might be possible that this is the reason.
Harbin Central Street Habsburg Hotel (Sofia Church)

Harbin Central Avenue/Saint Sophia Cathedral/The Memorial Tower of Fig
Think this is a 4-5 stars hotel locally. The lobby is decent, not posh type. The rooms are cosy and beautiful. Kids like the kids room, toys and the sport car bed. All toiletries are provided and have kids version. Very thoughtful. Have a welcome fruits n snacks platters with high class mineral water. One thing we didn’t like about the hotel is it has a weird smell when we stepped out of the lift and walked towards our room. Like ‘salted fish’ smell. Not sure if it is from carpet or some food brought in by others. The smell was also in our room. The hotel is at a busy road junction facing Songhua River. Around there are many local eateries. We had a hard time finding suitable food for us and kids as their local food are mostly beef, lamb and duck innards and spicy. End up we took a taxi and went to a restaurant called Sheng Tian Fu, recommended by the driver. Taxi drivers not many are familiar with this hotel, and have to show them namecard. Not too difficult to get to attractions such as Harbin Polarpark, Sofia church and Zhongyang Street. More convenient to travel by taxi as these places are not exactly very near hotel and it can be cold walking a distance of 1-2km. Hotel provides decent breakfast with reasonable variety. Waitresses are friendly and proactive to chat with you and recommend you what to eat. One of them is called Xiao Liu, nice middle-age lady. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and may go back if we go to Harbin again and if the pricing of hotel is cheaper.

Ice and Snow World/The Sun Island
In order to facilitate visiting the Ice and Snow World, I chose Ruichen Hotel. It later proved to be a correct decision. Didi can get you to the parking lot of the Ice and Snow World for 25 yuan. The hotel is also very convenient. RT-Mart and Wanxianghui are nearby, and you can enjoy delicious food. There are many choices, the rooms are neat and clean, the layout is reasonable, dry and wet are separated, the main focus is the parent-child room, the children also like it very much, the two sinks are very reasonable, the front desk manager is very enthusiastic and proactive, I will choose Ruichen Hotel next time I go to Harbin.
Sheraton Harbin Xiangfang Hotel

Hadong Wanda Plaza
The room was very nice. We had persimmons, a specialty of Harbin, and a soft drink made from bread. It was so delicious that I even went to the supermarket to buy a few more bottles. The cloakroom is big enough and the bathroom is clean. The best thing is the room service, which is always available. The front desk is also very considerate and provides small cakes for children's birthdays. The breakfast will change a little every day. It would be better if the sauerkraut is more sour. The hotel is right next to Wanda, so eating is very convenient. In fact, although it is far from the city center, it is very convenient to take a taxi. What we were most satisfied with during our trip to Harbin was our hotel choice.
