Summary: You get what you pay for
Trip.com usually lists "One room only" when there is no bathroom, so we were disappointed when we arrived and found there was no bathroom. However, we decided to stay for only one night and canceled the reservation.
Since I did not check in as scheduled, I wanted a refund for the days I did not stay. When they asked why, I simply typed "not as advertised" and we were compensated.
However, when we returned to the hotel after our business, we were berated by the staff. She said we were scammers and leaving a "bad review" was bad for her business. She said we were bad people and if we wanted a better room, we should just ask for one. Of course, there would be some cost. Even when we walked into the room, she continued to berate us.
When we left the next day, she did not say a word to us, did not take our room key, and did not even look at us
We understand that low prices mean low quality and are happy to go somewhere else. However, her negative treatment of us was unprofessional and unnerving.
