We checked in at 10 PM on the 4th. The carpet was covered in dust and hair. The water pressure in the bathroom was very low, and the temperature was difficult to adjust. The bathroom towels were damp and had hair on them, making it seem like they hadn't been replaced since the previous guest left. After contacting the front desk, the representative who arrived was extremely impatient, cold, and nagging. Our first impression of Harbin after getting off the bus was abysmal. I'd researched a lot before coming here, but I still ended up falling for the ice coffin. After settling my family in, I planned to look for other hotels, but they were all sold out by then, so I stayed the night and looked for another one the next day. The restaurant was much better that morning. It was clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly. It was that breakfast experience that convinced us to stay for five days.
