Apricot Hotel

Hồ Hoàn Kiếm Area Hanoi|0.37km from Chua Ly Trieu Quoc Su
Impressive entrance with a short walk to anything you might want/need in Hanoi. Check-in was a breeze when we arrived mid-afternoon. The lobby on Level 1 and restaurant on level 2 are opulent and well-served with competent and English fluent staff. The room I had was well presented, very clean and well-serviced. Great pillows!! Small, but functional bathroom with a great two-way shower. Money can be exchanged at reception at around market rate. The breakfast on level 2 has something for everyone. Vietnamese, western and excellent pastries. Fresh fruit and a great noodle bar. The wait staff and chefs are expert and can create pretty much anything on request. The room service menu is spartan but reasonably priced and well presented and delivered hot. Pasta, pizza, burgers and (of course) Pho. For those not familiar with Vietnamese coffee, fasten your seatbelt before trying. This beverage will wake the deepest sleeper in seconds. Concierge services are effective and non-intrusive. There is a mini-supermarket about 100 metres from the front door where you can find that razor you forgot amongst other necessities. This hotel is brilliantly located near the lake, which is a great location for a stroll. Within a five minute walk you can find pretty much anything that you can think of. There is a roof top bar and pool on level 10 and, to be honest, this was a little disappointing. The pool works, but the surrounds are a little tired and could do with an upgrade. Not a showstopper by any means. The lifts work, the electricity is 100% available and the wifi is fast and consistent. The laundry service is fast and reasonably priced. If you want to outsource laundry, there are several services available close by for USD$1.50 per kilo. My team of 3 stayed here for 12 days and very much enjoyed the facilities and hospitality. I would stay here again any day of the week!!

Mai Charming Hotel and Spa

Really convenient, reception is very welcoming and ready to help. Small room but packed with useful accessories when traveling. Small cons: the room is bit old, especially the bathroom where the water does not efficiently evacuate. And a bit too much light coming for the hallway. But overall really good, especially for the price!

It is a slender accommodation for travelers alone. The biggest advantage is that it is very quiet in Hanoi. Thanks to a good breakfast and friendly staff, I stay comfortably. It is a motel class in Korea.
Blue Hanoi Inn Hotel

The deluxe double bed room has a small window space for 4 years old children (children's room rate and breakfast is free). The breakfast is first served with a plate of fruit and yoghurt. Then, according to the order on the menu, there is a noodle fried rice sandwich. Egg fruit drink... tastes good. The hotel is located not far from the church and the sword lake. It takes about 15 minutes to go to the military museum. It takes about 30 minutes to go to the Temple of Bajie Square. The hotel has a red rice noodle shop pho 10 at the intersection of the hotel. It tastes good. The hotel breakfast also has rice noodles is also good. I have been breakfast for three days. Haha hotel reception desk will be welcoming Chinese last night and also help to contact the car car that went to Mang Street the next morning!

Advantages: Convenient to travel, great balcony, enthusiastic front desk, English conversation, coffee shop at the door, free maps and suggestions Disadvantages: The sound insulation is slightly poor. The room smell is very strong at first, but it gets better after it dissipates.

This delicious place has made our stay one of the best experiences ever. Not only is the hotel close to any tourist attraction downtown Hanoi, but also the lovely staff provided us with everything we asked for: motorbikes, recommendations, money exchange, etc… It has been like being at home. On top of anything else, the staff could not be better: attentive, charm and super welcoming. They always helped us! Do yourself a favor and come to this place for great accommodation in Hanoi!
Mercury Central Hotel Hanoi

During a 2 week trip around Northern Vietnam my father and I used Mercury Hotel as our home base in Hanoi and ended up staying here on 3 separate occasions. The location is convenient, and walkable to great food and sights. The family room was very large and had an awesome balcony for hanging out that also let in lots of light during the day. Dinh, the host, was always extremely friendly and helpful in providing tips for within Hanoi as well as recommending trips outside the city. She was a reliable resource in booking busses and affordable airport transfers, and also booked a Ha Long bay cruise that was perfect for us - this was appreciated as there seem to be lots of bad cruise options in Ha Long Bay. Thank you!! Ultimately, between the friendly staff, central location and comfortable room, Mercury felt like home in Hanoi. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Hanoi :)
