Hotels in Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi

A very … bad experience. Staying in this hotel is like sleeping on the street. Hotel arranged a room on the first floor. The room faces a busy road. I requested to change the room on higher floor. The staff said it was full and could not be changed. I couldn't sleep at night. Fortunately, booked two nights only. In addition, there is no power outlet in the room. We can only unplug the original power supply for the TV or bedside lamp to power our equipments. By the way, hotel staffs are nice & politely.

Very kind and friendly staff. For its price, the place is good enough to stay for a night. The space is just too small for me for a much longer stay. Location is very good though—streets are not super crowded and busy, lots of good food places nearby!

Loved my stay at Tryst - I stayed at a few different places during my stay in Hanoi and was gutted I only found this on the last night. The team are honestly the best - so friendly and helpful and go above and beyond with everything. Helped me organise taxis, exchange money, visit the dentist, laundry - everything was done with such attentiveness and always a smile on their faces. The room I had came with a balcony overlooking the street which was lovely, the bed was huge. The location is great, walking distance to the old town and popular areas and lots of places to eat/coffee shops right outside the hotel. Thank you Tryst, I can’t wait to be back 😄

Location is a coffee and pho lovers dream

I travelled to Vietnam (Hanoi) for the first time as a solo traveller and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy my vacation at. Mr Anh, the front desk manager was more than helpful and accommodating with all my needs. The food and room service was amazing and not to forget Cafe De floré 46, has the cutest ambience and the perfect Vietnamese white coffee for you to unwind after the a long day at the city. This place is a must must recommended place🇻🇳🫶🏻

Facilities: Smart and new, smart control, good sense of technology Environment: There are many restaurants around, and it is also close to the city center. Sanitation: Clean and hygienic Service: English service, no Chinese, OK front desk guy is OK

We just went there to sleep, stayed here 3 nights cos it was cheap and liked location, i didn't have high expectations as only cost approx $75nzd per night 5x people 2x rooms. I think there will be cheaper better options but if not see my pros & cons below and photos before you book. We also saw this property on travel guides AU so thought it would be fun to see what we thought of it too. It was way worse than the show 3yrs earlier. Pros Cheap for 5x travelers Good location easy walk to lake & markets Beds ok Free water and amineties Cons Dirty in places and run down everywhere Tiolets didn't work if they were flushed in 5min successions Black mould on roof in one bedroom Duvet (blanket) was to small for double bed Rotten floor boards everywhere Only 1x aircon remote between 2x rooms Showers only luke warm for first 2x bathers then cold Only 1x safe for two rooms Noisy Not enough bedding to for everyone initially and some pillows dirty but they did sort. Smells of people's cooking coming into room somehow Staff on reciption sleepy and disinterested but will help if you approach Bedroom walls need washing In summary wouldn't book again but surved a purpose.

Great service, friendly and helpful staff, central location, I will come back here and recommend to my friends, I arrived early but was assisted with free early check-in, the receptionist also helped me book tours at cheap prices, i was quite impressed by their service, looking forward to coming back here again soon

HANOI The location of this apartment is the biggest advantage. It is a 5-minute walk from the 86 bus stop (from/to the airport). Also, it takes 5-10 min strolling to reach the Old Quarter and Dong Xuan market. Plus, 20-25 min walking will bring you to the Ho Chi Ming mausoleum. Everything far would require a taxi or a scooter via the ‘Grab’ app. Generally, this apt has a solid ‘3’ out of ‘5’. Everything you needed was there: a full-size kitchen, a microwave, a two-section fridge, a washing machine, a fan, an AC, a TV, a kettle, a cooking stove, all utensils and plates. The bathroom, a sink and a loo are clean, a hairdryer works well. You could even have a full foamy real bath (I was too lazy to extra clean the bath, that’s just me. Extra precautions). The bed is fine, and the bed sheets were clean. Nothing to complain about. Now, why it is ‘3’ (or maybe ‘3.5’). For this money per night, in other places, you’ll get a 20-24 sq.m. room. While this apt generously will host you with 60 sq.m. (I have to confess, it was the main reason I chose this place among the locations). This place feels really like a proper apartment. Pay attention, this is not a ‘Hotel’ but a ‘Home-stay’ or an ‘Apartment’. There is no Reception desk. Nobody will meet, greet, and assist you. You will be on your own with any questions you may have upon arrival. Moreover, the entrance to this apartment goes through… the sushi restaurant. Yep. Right through the tables with people eating. Plus, the instruction sent prior to my arrival with all digital codes to open the doors to get in/out looked more like a maze or a puzzle. Good news, from 10 am till 10 pm the front restaurant door is open and you won’t need to worry (at least) about one of the ‘getting-in game’ challenges. Al-in-all, with all instructions provided by Trip.com and the owner, I managed to check in smoothly, had a nice Hanoi vacation and didn’t mind some hiccups with local neighbours downstairs getting up early and starting cooking their breakfast))) Good luck with your trip!
